Anderson Squats: The homie @idoitdaley wanted to become more explosive and faster before his next football combine. So I helped him tweak his program and added some movements he hasn't tried before that can be very beneficial in developing explosiveness. He's already Strong as fuck so it's all about working on his explosive strength. The #andersonsquats help increase that explosive starting strength. It begins at the bottom of the squat. This allows you to eliminate momentum(the "bounce") or the stretch reflex that builds up when get down into the squat. For this movement you are going from a dead stop to exerting a large amount of force. This helps increase the speed of recruitment of motor units. This is the first week of his need program so he started just above 90 degrees and 80% of his 1RM for 8 sets of 3.
