Unexpected gem. Hidden in the far end of the building, a place where people don't even go. The kindness of your eyes or a smile that you cannot hide - what made me chat you up? Maybe it was just pure curiosity. I keep finding myself so attracted to men, who have a passion. A passion to their job, hobby, other interests. You know that they are superior in that specific field. They can teach you something new, feel smart and charm you.

At first you were just trying to be helpful and tell me about the machines you are making, explain the way they are working. But then I cought your attention because of my need to know, my ever-popping questions and genuine interest in what you were saying. I'm not sure if "Call me if you need anything" was just your business offer or an intention of something more personal, but I will never know. Anyway, you gave completely different colours to this day, the attention I was craving for, a conversation I really needed. Thank you for that.

But now you're gone. And it's okay.

{4} Aidas

So sweet. So adorable. And the look in your eyes... How could I describe it? Caring yet passionate. Wild yet admiring. It looked like being with me was like something you do everyday. Never the less, I was something you wanted to conquer. The way you talked about your work and desires, sympathy and sociality caught me listening so deeply. It feels like I need some stability in my life. The more I meet new people, the more I feel it. It seems that everyone has a plan of their future and look so secure. Am I scant of this feeling or such person in my life? How can I answer this question without bad aftermath? I just pretend that everything is okay. And let the precious time get wasted. Shit.

I realized I didn't have any comments on your looks or the way you acted. I guess I fell for your personality. Although one thing I understood about you was loneliness. I could feel it from the way you talk about serious things, from the way you craved for a touch, for some affection.

But now you're gone. And it's okay.

{3} No name #1

It was a magical night, the concert of a band I love. I was so happy, dancing and singing my heart out. I never believed that people can feel it when someone is looking at them. But at that moment I did. I looked over my shoulder and cought you watching me. You were so close I could feel your arm somewhere near my back as I danced. The second time we exchanged glances we smiled to each other. Because of the flashing lights and darkness of the night I couldn't see your face properly. I only remember cool mirror sunglasses and a dark short beard. The band was playing my favourite songs and I was so cought up, but suddenly I felt a warm hand on my shoulder. At first I looked at the hand and then turned my head to the owner of it. It was you. Smiling and so close to me. You rapidly said something in a foreign language and when I asked to say it in english, you laughed so frankly. "You are so beautiful, but I don't think I could colaborate with your boyfriend" you said. I wanted to tell you this was my friend, not my boyfriend. I wanted to tell you to dance with me and just have fun. But I didn't. When I looked over - you weren't there anymore. A part of me wanted to enjoy the night as it is. The other part just wanted you to come back.

But now you're gone and it's okay.

{2} Marijus

You were different. Everyone else in that room was weird and awkward. But you were so distant. It looked like you were forced to be there but at the same time you acted so carefree. I couldn’t keep my eyes of you. You looked like someone who walks alone in the woods with no fear and feels like home there even in the nighttime. I couldn’t even imagine that you would talk to me. But here we are sitting in a bus, so close to each other that our knees are touching, talking like we have known each other for years. All I had to do was ask if anyone could accompany me on my way to the bus stop because I was kind of lost in that part of the city. You stood up and asked me where I was heading. When I answered, you said that we can go there together. The conversation we had was so interesting I almost forgot to get off the bus at my stop. You were so smart and honest. And it made me happy. When I said “Well, it’s my stop, goodbye”, you said “See you, Emily” with a smirk on your face. Most people doesn’t adress the person they are talking to by the name. But you did. And it made me feel like I was something. However, we never met again. 

But now you're gone and it's okay.

{1} Aurimas

It was something about your look. Your style was kind of casual these days: black v-neck shirt, simple jeans, slightly longer hair and a nicely trimmed beard. Maybe you caught my attention because you were so tall? It feels like tall guys are some kind of achievement to me, a hard to get goal because I’m so tiny.  You we’re our video operator that day. When we met, you thought that I was the designer you were going to film. I wasn’t but your camera still caught me. At first it was just practice - adjusting the camera for the real filming, I was just a substitute. But was I? When one of the designers asked to take a look at the video you just filmed, you scrolled the videos and photos and accidentally stopped on mine. A picture of me. You said a silent “oh” and switched to the next photo so fast I couldn’t even see it properly. But the photo wasn’t from the time we adjusted the camera. I wasn’t looking at the object lens, it was a close shot of me wondering. One of my colleagues noticed that photo and said “Wow that’s a great shot of Emily!”. You didn’t say anything. Now I just wonder how did you feel. We’re you embarrassed? Or did it mean nothing to you? Because it meant something to me. I felt good. I felt noticed. I felt like I was something.

But now you’re gone and it’s okay.
