Fear of getting bitten?
I know everyone is afraid of getting bit by something of course, but, this is becoming a big problem for me. I kinda started when I was younger, when I had a hyperactive-aggressive dog that bit my face, leaving deep-clean holes(no blood whatsoever) and almost took my nose off with her.(there's the blood!) I never noticed anything at first, until recently. Now, I thought my snake was the problem, and I was going to get rid of her.(I love her to death and take great care of her! She's still tiny after 3 years too!) No, it was much bigger then that! If I got rid of her, it'll still be there! Throughout the years, I realized it was progressively getting worse. It was little things... I couldn't hold the lizards my dad caught unless I wore a glove, and the glove was really thin. Once one bit me, I was fine. On and off there was just little things and was easy to ignore. It hasn't effected me until last summer, when the housekeeper didn't hold my snake whatsoever, just transfer the log to and from the feeding container. When I went to hold her, she moved her head a certain way that made me think she was going to bite. I had to hand her off to my dad because I was so scared. After that, I was instantly more afraid of getting bit. Its so bad now, that I can't even hold her with out shaking too much(even with gloves and a thick jacket on!), I can't hold lizards either, I can't put my feet near my dog's face even though she is the sweetest dog ever, I'm even freaked out sometimes by the realistic looking tiger plush in my room, and a bunch of other stuff too! It's soo stupid! I hate it yet I can't get rid of it! I have tried and tried, but I can't get rid of it. Getting rid of the snake won't help, because it'll always be there and affect my future career unless I get help.
How, does one fix this? I have been bit before, and it hasn't helped.*So there! Don't go and tell me to get bit!* I really need some help guys!
