can i ask what the basil sugar is for?? because to me it sounds incredibly contradictory

haha it’s to add some basil flavor to my frosting without having a bunch of chewy leaves in there - you food-process the basil with a small amount of powdered sugar to junk up the basil and incorporate it in, without it getting lost in the full amount of sugar and unchopped!! and i promise basil + berry tastes delicious!!

i just caught up on wildelife and wanted to say how much i love it! :D parts of it (like dani, and oscar meeting the thunder children) actually gave me chills. i'm also really really enjoying oscar and cliff's dynamic atm ahhh (though i still cannot bELIEVE, clifford the big red werewolf ffs), and tbh the thunder children are my favourite, little malevolent sparky babies, they're super creepy and simultaneously so adorable

it’s a mishmash really - i had a base of extremely washed out manic panic enchanted forest green which became a pastel bluey green color. i touched it up with MORE enchanted forest green at the roots and ends, then mixed up that same color with about 1/3 - 1/2 of a tube of pravana vivids in silver. that was about 8-9 days before the pic in question, so it washed out to a very cool minty green cc:

you can see the progression from purply blue to hella blue to minty green, over about a week and a half with this dye mixture cc:

disclaimer that i always, always mix a TON of conditioner into my dye to dilute the color, and to give my hair some love c:

YO I LOVE DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE though i have to admit i felt the same at first, i was rolling my eyes coz karou felt like every special snowflake character a 14 year old would write?? but after things got explained a bit i was like ohhhhh thAT'S why she's like that ohh. (also there was also a moment for me where the title just clicked and suddenly made sO MUCH SENSE). idk i love it i just finished the second book and i'm feeling very emotional rn
