i admit im 2 sleepy to read through all fic questions but 1-5, 13-15 & 31-33?
Fic Asks!
1. Do you read fic? Do you write fic? - Yes&Yes. Not so much these days, but I’ll catch up.
2. Favorite genre of fic? - Yeah... I’m going to be a little shit about this one - I think genre theory is not very applicable to fic as it is so tl;dr I’ll pass this one.
3. Favorite fandom? - Currently - Star Wars.
4. Favorite pairing? - From SW, Hux/Mitaka.
5. Favorite fic author? - Eisenschrott 1800%
13. Has a fic ever made you cry? - Not from angst, but I have laughed to tears reading fic.
14. What tropes/elements/scenarios get you the worst? - When two characters who desperately want to talk/meet again miss each other due to absurdly narrow margin of poor timing, or “placement” in their environment. One turning around a corridor a second before the other goes out of a room and has the chance to see them? Getting on a ship while the other lands? Being separated by a thin wall and thinking they can hear the other’s voice? I’m on the floor, rolling in delicious agony. It’s a very theatrical thing, I think, in the sense that you’re made acutely aware of your “helplessness” as audience on another place of existence - so you can yell at them to trip or stop to sneeze or even look at the tiles just to the meeting can happen, but it wont. So good!
15. Do you mind when characters cry? - NO. Let them cry, especially adult characters who think of themselves as having outgrown such outbursts of emotion.
31. Do you read AUs? - Yep!! Though usually after I’ve had a solid fill of the canonical setting.
32. Favorite AU tropes? - Modern!AU shopping? Goofing at IKEA, slurping drinks at the mall, LINGERIE SHOPPING, replacing the burnt oven mittens. I’m here for this.
33. Least favorite AU tropes? -
Anything that has to do with rendering pregnancy possible (and taken advantage of, more importantly). Just... keep pregnancy away from me. On the other side of the galaxy, if possible.
Reincarnation (none of the fandoms I’ve been so far supports it, save for SPN but like... we don’t talk about SPN)
I’m very picky about feel-good stuffs: so it’s not exactly that it’s my least favourite, but rather most of those I’ve read I didn’t like.
