Yosemite wedding arrival and rehearsal dinner

The wedding reception will be very intimate. The reception dinner and dance room at the Ahwahnee Hotel provide an incredible romantic ambiance. With such high ceilings and natural wood structure, the Ahwahnee, is the perfect destination Wedding. The grounds are in the heart of Yosemite Valley surrounded by pine trees and huge glacier peaks. I feel small just being here. This valley has been through the harshest climates over the centuries and still offers such a timeless peace. Did I mention that the dining room looks just like Hogwart's dining hall! It's amazing, magical, like a fairy tale. After dinner and a mini photo shoot my bride, who could not wait to show me her dress and accessories. (See pictures)

This dress from a store in Sacramento, which I have heard so much about. My bride had ordered in it October 2012, they assured her it would take 3-6 months. Needless to say when it was not her by not here by June she understandably stood up to the store and their lack of customer service. When she did not get the answer her heart knew she deserved. She went as far as to google the number of the manufacturer and called the directly. The dress was in her hands within a week and let me tell you. It was very much worth the wait. Her accessories include a very pretty, pearl comb for her hair, a blue sapphire bracelet and ring, a Tiffany Key necklace that her man have her when he knew her heart was his, pretty simple diamond studs. Simple classic beauty, with a James Bond theme twist.  She is going to look like a Bond girl.  I haven't seen it on yet but I am very excited for my bride and her Charming groom to profess their love and commitment in heaven on earth.

Ps: when I got into Yosemite there was a cow that crossed the road.

Thank you for designing the most beautiful gown (in less than a month!) As the mother of the Bride, busy with all things wedding, and giving very little time to the thought of a dress for myself, I can’t believe I almost settled for the “ok” dress I purchased from Nordstrom. I am so happy for the day, an answer to a prayer, that I noticed your studio while driving on Coast Highway in Corona del Mar. The two beautiful gowns displayed in your studio window piqued my interest! How did I miss this little number? Made the call, booked the appointment, even brought my “ok” dress with me to the appointment. I will not soon forget the look on your face when I held up my dress from Nordstrom. “You are the Mother of the Bride and you are going to wear THAT?” You are a hoot! I love your confidence in your designs. Not an arrogance, but a wonderful gift, and you want to sincerely share that gift! “Think outside of the box”, you coaxed, and opened my eyes to true elegance that can be found in a gown.

Drawn to the shimmer and elegant flow of an Italian silk gown in turquoise you prompted me to try on, I realized I was in the presence of an amazing talent, no mediocrity here. Within weeks, you magically produced an uncanny perfect fit. You are amazing with the details of line and shape, for balance, for pure artistry.

The gown was absolutely stunning, and so lovely to wear. The design so elegant, so fresh! Utterly Unique! It was Perfect!

Thank you, Andrea, for your vision, your care, your amazing talent. You must know you contributed to our very special day in many ways, bringing joy, elegance and grace. The memories will stay with me for a lifetime.

Andrea, you have a WONDERFUL talent, and we are so blessed to know you, our beautiful new friend! For every special occasion in the future, I will be seeing you!

P.S. I cannot possibly forget to mention the Bride’s last minute dress for rehearsal dinner! Exquisite! Or…The flawless earrings to match my gown!
