Would a Koopa!Dalex with Maletone Formula: X be as scary as a shroobified Koopa!Dalex? o.o

A Koopa!Dalex infected with Malatone Formula:X would actually be even scarier than a Shrooblex.

For starters, Dal's status as part-Poison Koopa grants him a natural resistance to toxic substances. Things like poisoned water, poison mushrooms, and venomous enemies don't bother him, and in regards to the mushrooms, he regularly enjoys them as snacks. The only thing he'd really have to worry about is the venom of another Poison Koopa; he's vulnerable to it while a pureblood like his father or grandmother would be completely immune.

I'd imagine that this resistance would keep Dal safe from the Malatone Formula:X... at first.

Let's say he was captured once the BFFs noticed that a single dose wasn't working on him. They soon realize that the reason why is because he's not just some Boom Boom; he's a Poison Koopa. 'Thankfully,' him being a hybrid makes brainwashing him more of a small challenge than a lost cause: they probably just need to give him bigger doses!

So they do! As many as they feel the need to! Malodorous Fibbian breath is 100 times stronger than a measly mushroom, he can't resist it forever!

But as they slowly succeed in their little experiment, as Dalex starts showing the highly aggressive behavior they've been expecting, the BFFs forget about the base chemical in Malatone Formula:X... Skeletone Formula:D.

And what, pray tell, happened when someone else took too much Skeletone...?

Yeaaaaahhh.....

At first, the BFFs see no reason to worry. So the guy dried out, big deal! They've finally got him under control, the Malatone Formula:X is working well!

...It's working too well.

It doesn't take long for the BFFs (as well as Junior's team) to notice that the dried Poison Koopa isn't just attacking the opposing side. He's attacking everyone, almost like he can't tell the difference between friend or foe anymore.

Being subjected to such high concentrations of Malatone kicked Dal's sense of aggression into overdrive. He's less of a brainwashed minion and more of a wild animal, attacking anything and anyone on sight.

Shrooblex could still control himself and understood the concept of loyalty, even if it was towards Princess Shroob instead of Bowser.

But the Malatoned Dry Dalex? No loyalty. No restraint. Nothing.

Don't worry, the old Dalex is still in there somewhere. The question is, are his old allies strong enough to bring him back out...?

A rather odd bunny who leaves trails that look more toxically melted than burned when he runs.

Unless you're immune to poison or have some pecha berries on standby, I'd avoid shaking this little guy's hand. =w="

An NPC that's usually found at various Chao gardens. When spoken to, she can offer advice for Chao care, evaluate your Chao's stats, or make general comments on how happy or unhappy it is, hinting at the Chao's potential reincarnation or death.

Mocha the Chao is with her snaily owner at all times, and while you can pick up/feed/play with Mocha like any other Chao, you can't enter her in races/karate, and she'll always be one of your Chao's opponents in either sport.

If Koopa Dalex used a fire flower would his fire be green? :o

I mean his default fire breath (which I may or may not scrap entirely) is already green, so there's that. XD

Regardless, Koopa!Dal attempting to use a fire flower would be a horrible idea.

In my 'verse, Dragon Koopas (along with any other naturally fire-breathing creature) cannot and must never use fire flowers as a Power-Up, as this will kick their flame pipes into overdrive.

This condition, dubbed "Overheat," is a very painful experience, as the victim's flames now run even hotter than what they're used to, and they can't stop spewing fire, no matter how badly they want to. It could best be described as "being dumb or crazy enough to try and drink a glass of lava."

You know that mission in Sunshine where you gotta cool down those feverish Chain Chomplets? It's basically that, adding actual fire breath and minus the weird flaming goop.

The only ways to stop an Overheat are to either A.) Find a large amount of water/snow/ice/etc. to cool the flames back down as quickly as possible, or B.) Let the victim's flame pipe burn out. The latter of which will leave the flame pipe too damaged to ever be used again, and will have to be removed to prevent future problems within the body.

Thankfully, just touching a fire flower won't trigger an Overheat; you'd have to be foolish enough to actually try to activate the power-up or eat the flower on its own. When used in meals, power-ups are distilled so their abilities can't kick in, so you're also safe there. owo)b
