Today is the day! My second novel is out in the world. I worked damn hard on this book and I'm so proud of how it has turned out. Now is the hardest part- it needs to find its way into the hands of the readers its destined for.

A carnivorous vine on a planet infected with a human exodus cult, forges psychic connections with Earth, and bestows an unsuspecting group of women with the power to heal or destroy the remnants of humanity.

In a story that spans the galaxy, this ultimately hopeful, eco-punk adult science fantasy novel  explores the future of humanity and our obligations to our planet of origin through characters who wrestle with non-conforming desires, gender identities, and sexualities.

There was so much excitement in the vine network, those fine threads that connected every consciousness on the planet via the soil.-

And part of him wanted to be punished. He wanted an external stimulus to cause a change. Like a plant that altered its tropism based on the source of light.-

They'd thought this land would be full of orchards and crops by now. Their fertilisers had made no difference. There was no life in the acidic soil. Under the microscope it was devoid of the fungi and bacteria associated with a healthy microbiome. When they'd fought back the vine and cut down the native trees, they'd triggered an environmental death spiral.-

Earth crooned to them in flowers, shouted in trees, grumbled in fungi, and whispered in grasses.

Nature had not been calming and soothing on Aceso. They'd cringed from its native lifeforms, with mesh screens for the bugs, traps and poisons for the lizard-pigs and fire for the vine. They'd only been content with the organisms they'd brought from Earth and knew how to control. But it wasn't possible to live in harmony on a planet while suppressing all other life.-
