Maybe I am wrong but I don’t think we should be really worried about who that person might be. If Fitz is a mini version of Tony then that person isn’t important. And I don’t think they would go for that trick again. FS strength is that they team up against the world and will fight against all odds for the other.
I’m hoping you’re right. Like I said before, I think the hand is probably a red herring meant to make us panic (and it’s working *wheeze*) and he probably is some version of Tony Stark. Another big question I have is whether or not he even knows Jemma in this world. If my theory about his regret having to do with his dad and thus he never joined SHIELD, he never would have met Jemma and that would make her task even more difficult.
But there’s always the other option that Fitz DID know Jemma, and she died, and when she shows back up she’s literally risen from the grave to him. Fun.

It might be Fitz’s mom, but it’s not gonna be Iain’s mom, for reasons that @agentverbivore has laid out elsewhere.
(That being said, I don’t think it’s gonna be his mom, because I doubt they would use a photo of Mrs. DC and then cast another woman to actually play the part.)

Yeah, but whomever it is, she's no match for Jemma. Since Jemma's dead in this reality, he doesn't have the option of being with her, and you've got to bet that he won't be able to to resist Jemma when she becomes an option.
Very good point. I’m crossing my fingers for something along this line. Whether he knew Jemma or not in this world, we might get to see him fall in love with her all over again, and I am 100% here for that.
