Well, that answer wasn’t blatantly obvious. Bee knew what that look meant. And she knew it well.

"In the scheme of things – nah, not really. But uh…please just tell me you used protection. I don’t wanna have to do any late runs to the health center for you…"

It was a joke, but she would have done it if Toph really needed her to.

  Toph blushed ferociously, but stood her ground.

"Come on, what do you think I am, some kind of idiot? Of course I did. My father would kill me if he saw something like that pop up on my medical file."

Stripping off her shoes, socks, and bra, Toph collapsed heavily onto her bunk. 

"Damn I'm tired though. Might skip my first class and just sleep. How about you?"

"Sooo, where were you last night?" she asks patiently, despite her roommate arriving back so god-awfully early in the morning and waking her.

Shit. Of course Bee would be awake. She was such a light sleeper. Toph stopped her hands from impulsively checking her hair, her clothes, her posture. 

“I, uhhh… Well. Shit, Bee. Does it matter?”

Toph couldn’t come up with a lie on the spot like that. Not one good enough to get past Smellerbee anyway. That girl was too good.
