Arboreal Salamander (Aneides lugubris)
...a species of “Climbing Salamander” (Aneides spp.) which is native to California and Baja California. Arboreal salamanders are typically associated with oak ans sycamore woodlands and thick chaparral habitats. During the day, arboreal salamanders will spend their time in the cavities of oak trees, emerging at night to feed on an array of terrestrial invertebrates. They are also noted for possessing a prehensile tail.
