Aneurysm
I have been on the road
for less than an hour.
I am trying hard
to prevent my mood
from going sour.
I drove back home to get a sweatshirt,
as the air was cooling fast.
A trains horn sounds a short distance away
as the gates to the tracks
go down.
I witness a white car speed up
and fly over the tracks
as I approach the mobile home park
that lives to the left.
As I flick on my turn signal,
I stop short as I witness the vehicle behind me
drive into oncoming traffic.
I slammed on my breaks
and watched in horror as they sped
head on towards the car
that recently flew over the closed tracks.
To the right of me,
a truck passed-
seemingly uninterested in slowing down.
All three cars managed to miss each other.
The trin rapidly approached,
conductor blaring on the horn.
I have no idea if either vechile
had attempted to cross the tracks.
I hope they didn't.
I made my turn and safely arrived home.
My heart is still pounding in my chest.
I will go on with my day
and hope for the best.
Please be safe on the road.
Road signs, lights, train gates, etc
are all there for a reason.
Safety should not be ignored.
Even if you don't necessarily care
what happens to you,
you are not the sole person on the road.
Other lives are at stake.
If you don't care,
then you shouldn't be allowed to drive.
Please take care.

Nirvana - Aneurysm
A 39-year-old Montreal man died of an aneurysm after spending six hours in an emergency room before giving up and going home.
A Montreal man died of an aneurysm after spending six hours in an emergency room before giving up and going home. Adam Burgoyne, 39, posted on his X account on Dec. 5 that he had a “health scare” but “thankfully it wasn’t a heart attack” after getting an electrocardiogram (ECG) done. He said he had chest pain on his left side, nausea and clammy skin and a hard time breathing. He added that once health-care workers made sure he “wasn’t dying,” he was “thrown out into the waiting room” where he waited six hours before going home without further medical assistance. It’s unclear which hospital Burgoyne went to. His obituary said he died the next day.

"Percy, being a son of Poseidon , isn't all that it's cracked up to be. There are dangers and dark sides to being a child of the Big Three." Y/N said. They stood out on the dock of the lake, watching sea serpents swimming about, or the naiads giggling in the corner of the lake.
Looking for the water to Y/N, Percy trained his blue eyes on his big brother. "What do you mean by that? What could be dark or bad about control over water?"
"Well, being able to control water doesn't just mean the sea or a lake. There are other places filled with water that we don't think about. Places that make you feel so bad that you dare not use them." Y/N said.
"Like what?" Percy pushed. "You can tell me."
"We can control the liquid inside a person and make them into puppets. Their every movement is based on what we want them to do. We can cause an aneurysm in the brain. Control poisons. All because these places have water or liquid-like substances surrounding them."
Percy, let that sink in. He always wondered what else they could do being Poseidon's kids, but he never imagined anything like that. Something so dark and scary. "Have you ever... ever used it on someone?"
Y/N looks at Percy and nods slowly. "Once. On a monster. And on Clarisse. I didn't like the way it felt, which is why I pray you never have to use these tricks unless it's an extreme emergency."
