Then, I came to you with the sound of battle ringing in my ears—the screams of men I have known. Your touch made it fade. Now, there are dark nights and sometimes darker days, yet there are also your eyes. They find who I am; they pierce through me like a lance. I am pinned forever in your gaze. And speaking of forever, I do not know what will come. But my home is in your touch and in your eyes—and when you laugh, it lifts my soul to the sky and reminds me what could be. There is no greater universe than holding you: Then—or now—or forever.

Dean and Sam had no choice but to get to the bottom of this new disease that seemed to spawn out of nowhere. There was no warning, only the lifeless victims six feet under from the plague. And with no cure, they had to find out the cause before it got worse; a race against the clock. Of course, what they were going to find out was not as pretty, or expected. Angel - L.A. Weatherly
“The only good angel is a dead angel.”
In this trilogy, consisting of Angel Burn, Angel Fire and Angel Fever, the world has been flooded with angels. Only they aren’t heavenly creatures that humans think they are: they are predators that use the humankind as food, consuming their energy.
Williw Fields is sixteen years old, and is fairly certain that she is a normal girl. Sure, she likes mechanics and she is a psychic, but that’s not that weird right? She lives a normal live, goes to high school and skips as much as possible. But her normal life disappears the moment that she gives a reading to Beth, a girl from her school. By reading Beth, she discovers that angels are real, and that they are far from kind. In a desperate attempt to show Beth that the angels are bad, she becomes the most-searched terrorist in the United States. Because there is a reason that Willow is a psychic, and that reason makes her dangerous to all angels: she’s a halfangel, a creature that should not even be able to exist.
Helped by Alex Kylar, an assassin and Angel Killer, she tries to find a way to get rid of all the angels and save her world.
I think that ‘bad angels’ is a really good concept. Some parts don’t always add up, but the backstory is really tight and detailed. And it does not get boring after a while, like a lot of adventure stories tend to become. There is no annoying pattern of failing - getting caught - escaping - succeeding in the end. Not all the ideas of the angels work out, and not every action of Willow and Alex succeeds. And the author never forgets that her two main characters are two teenagers, who don’t want to bear the burden of having to save their world, which makes the story really believable.
The author gives the reader a more general view of all the events, by entering chapter from the point of view of a lot of different characters. This grants the reader more knowledge, but just not enough to get the full picture. It’s really nice reading like this, because you know what is going to happen to the characters before they do, but then something happens that none of you saw coming.
If you’re into fantasy and adventure, then I really recommend these books!

001/ I am thousands of miles from home and sometimes the distance hurts, when all I need are the familiar words and commiserations of those who have known me for years, who have accompanied me through multiple previous crises, who would know what to say or how to act, who are continents and time zones and seasons and oceans and ages away. 002/ He has the name of an angel, and I think I am ripping his wings apart. 003/ There are moments when it's okay and I can dance around the thought of a future, and then there are nights I spend lying awake in silence, carving words in the air and my nails in my skin, because I don't know what to do. 004/ I used to have some mastery of my emotions, if not about whom I loved, then about how I reacted to it, how much I let it eat away at me. I became a fool's idea of an expert at playing with fire and revelling in the temporary glimmer of sparks, in the warmth that would inevitably burn. 005/ Now there is no more fire, but sometimes I feel like my lungs are filled with smoke, like I am standing on the most beautiful of mountaintops, but instead of drinking in the world around me, all I can do is fight the urge to fling myself back to earth. 006/ I am a star that you flew too close to, a rain storm rapidly turning into a flood, a snow-clad valley filled with the promise of eventual avalanche. 007/ You are the best thing to happen to me in a while, but I never found it this hard to be happy before.
