After reading an S-tier fic I’ve had the idea that Sisyphus, during the uprising against Heaven, would spare the lower-ranking angels. The Virtues, the Guardians, even a dominion or two. It wasn’t their fault they were cannon-fodder against an enemy they didn’t even know the truth behind.

It was finicky business, of course. Many angels were too weak to go home, and had to be “captured” until they had enough strength to flee. Many angels acted as if they didn’t *want* to be spared.
