Okay, So Maybe We Were Wrong. 7/30/17

Maybe the Sleepless Night With Phil was in “his room” and not Dan’s. What this has taught us is that we’ve been going about this all wrong. 

As usual, the phandom as a whole tricked themselves into believing something exciting is going to happen. Yes, we still have Dream Daddy. Yes, we still have gaming streams. Yes, we still have The Week In March™. But thinking all these events were rising action to a near climax... Was dead wrong. 

Yes, the phandom has figured out they sleep in the same room. The centipede, the mirror, the shoes... These are all valid, and in our opinions, correct. We thought this Sleepless Night With Phil would be the confirmation we were all waiting for. Of course, 2017 overwhelmed us. The Gay™ has been strong. For the last year, we’ve all thought this was going to be the year. That in 2017, we’d find out the truth about phan. But maybe we were wrong.

We’re not ones to go bursting bubbles here, but this Sleepless Night With Phil wasn’t a confirmation. In fact, we believe it’s the exact opposite. Phil’s trying to convey to us the message that he doesn’t sleep in the same room as Dan. We were right in saying the timing was perfect. We thought it was to confirm the theory, but in reality, it was to sink it. 

They aren’t ready to come out yet. We’ve all been thinking they are simply because their lives are progressing so much. They’re probably soon moving into their forever home. They’re getting so much more comfortable with so many more things that we all thought the time had come. Yet, we will continue to wait.

And that’s okay. Obviously they’ll tell us what they want to when they want to, and there’s nothing we can do about it but wait. It’s their lives, and that’s just the way it is. We’ll simply continue to wait. 

And if he was trying to kill the theory, maybe we should let it die down. We can’t let it die completely, because we do still believe that it’s true. But maybe this is a bit of a subtle message saying, “Hey. Can you not?” So I guess we can... not. Maybe this is one of those theories that we should keep in our heads from now on and not on the Internet. And if that’s what Dan and Phil want, then that’s okay. 

Yes, we were wrong. But at least now we all know the truth and their wishes. So, case closed.

Alfie, Dan and Phil 8/31/2017

If you have been in the Phandom for a while you’ll know that Alfie Deyes of PointlessBlog hasn’t always gotten along perfectly with the Phandom and-by extension-Dan and Phil themselves. This didn’t stop a collab being produced and uploaded to PointlessBlog on May 5, 2014 called GUESS THE YOUTUBER | Dan and Phil. Rewatching this, I realized something; when Dan and Phil both collab with somebody, there is almost ALWAYS a video on all three channels (AmazingPhil, danisnotonfire, and whoever they happen to be collaborating with) but with Alfie this wasn’t the case.

So why not with Alfie?

Well, dear follower, I have come to a theory.

Maybe they DID film three videos, but only one came out?

Hear me out.

As we know, Dan and Phil don’t get along super well with Alfie. Sure they tolerate each other, but they aren’t great friends. This is just because they are different kinds of people, and that’s ok, but when you’re filming with somebody? You have to have chemistry. That is why when you audition for a movie role they test your chemistry with another lead. Dan is so critical of his videos, wouldn’t it be plausible he realized how awkward they were and never uploaded his video and convinced Phil to do the same? I believe there may be some never-before-seen Phalfie content somewhere, but that’s just a theory. A PFBI THEORY. Thanks for reading.-Taylor

The Celebration Dinner

Another update on that week in March:

On August 11th at 5:46 BST, Phil sent out a tweet that said “I either grew 500ft or I’m in a very tall building. Place your bets” with an accompanying picture of Tower Bridge and the London skyline. Our agents have determined that the photo was taken from The Shard, the tallest building in the United Kingdom.

Based on the height and angle on the photo Phil posted compared to promotional photos from other locations in the building, we think it is very likely that Phil’s photo was taken from one of the three restaurants in the building (located on the 31st, 32nd, and 33rd floors), rather than, say, a law office or something.

So why is this significant you may ask? Well, it isn’t really, until you think about The Week In March…

At this point, we are working under the assumption that the “Secret Project” is some sort of film production based on our previous theory. So with that considered, here is what we think:

The Secret Project has finished filming. Dan and Phil’s direct involvement in it is over and it is now in post production. They were out to dinner at The Shard to celebrate being finished finally. The original timeline of “5 months” wasn’t a sneky comment by Dan to hype something that was never gonna happen, it was him not realizing that post production would take so long and only really knowing the dates that THEY would be finished. Now that the project is in post, announcing it early would lead to even MORE hype and the wait would feel even longer, hence the 2 month push back. We all know how Dan can be with his content, (not thinking it’s good enough, not wanting to give too much away about it, etc), so it’s reasonable to assume that he wouldn’t want to give too much away until he had seen the final or almost final cut.

In summary, the secret project is finished and Dan and Phil went to a fancy dinner to celebrate it finally being done. 5 months was accurate, but Dan is a dummy and forgot how long editing takes.

As for the restaurants themselves; Oblix, Hutong, and Aqua Shard, are all quite expensive and very nice, not the sort of places you go without any kind of reason or special occasion….after all, they are all featured on the GQ list of most romantic restaurants in London; great places to go if you want to celebrate something big 😉

That Week In March™

Well, my friends, the liveshow of truth is in less than an hour. I guess it’s time to finally address what happened in That Week In March™. 

Today, at 9:00 PM his time, Dan Howell will start a liveshow. From the first second, the chat will be filled with “what happened that week in march???” The question we all need the answer to... How will Dan react? 

For anyone who doesn’t know, That Week In March™ was a week when Dan said he was stressed, but wouldn’t tell us why. He said he’d tell us in five months. Do the math, my friends, it’s August: five months after March. So now, it’s time for the truth. There are a few options. 

1. He’ll ignore the comments completely.  It’s not possible for him to just not notice them; they’ll be everywhere. So if he doesn’t say anything, he’s simply ignoring it. Of course, if that happens, we should just let it go, as he obviously doesn’t want to talk about it. 

2. He’ll answer with something small. Obviously it’s something that’s important to him, since it caused that much stress, but it’s nothing we’d expect or hope for. 

3. He’ll acknowledge it, but won’t tell us. He’ll say he can’t tell us yet, which kinda sucks because it’s the time he said he would, but as with #1, we just need to accept it and let it go. 

4. It’s something to do with moving.  This makes a lot of sense, since it was only about a month and a half before they moved. There’s a lot to deal with when moving; there’s actually a very good chance That Week In March™ is just something to do with their moving. Or, it’s something else we already know about but just don’t know is the source of That Week In March™. 

5. It’s the answer of our dreams.  I mean, it’s possible. The phandom can dream, right? 

So what do I think happened in That Week In March™? Honestly, 2 or 4. The more I think about it, the less I think it’s something huge. I wouldn’t think he’d just casually sit in his liveshow room alone and talk about the flower arrangements for his and Phil’s wedding. I would have much more hope if this was about a joint liveshow, or if he put it off. But he’s facing it now, which makes me think it’s not as big as we’re expecting. As a general phandom rule, but especially now, let’s not get our hopes TOO far up. 

If you’ve been following my activity today on the tag ‘the eye of the phandom storm’, you know we’ve been talking all day about these topics, but I’m just now revealing my opinions. Now, since it’s almost time for the liveshow, this is the last official post under the tag. When the liveshow comes, we leave the eye of the storm and return to the horrific, chaotic storm itself. Good luck to us all. And of course, I now leave this case wide open.

Is it possible that Phil and/or Dan don’t want us to believe they are moving again soon? If you look at the picture that Phil posted on Twitter today, 

you can see that there are cords everywhere. And we all know how much of a perfectionist Dan can be. I for one do not think he could stand the way it looked in that photo. Also their monitors are not probably set up either, there is no editing equipment in sight. Is this just some strange set up? Is it possible that they were taking down the tiles and it was staged? Something that did happen when they first moved in and they were simply recreating it? If they are moving sometime soon, why wouldn’t they want us to know? If you don't think Phil would post an old photo, remember the marshmallow drink, which I personally believe was from Singapore. To add, the marshmallow drink was from a place called the tippling club in Singapore. The logo on the coaster matches the club logo and they have a marshmallow cocktail on their menu. -MaK
