Just started watching The Great.

Ok so this is how my gf and I started dating

This is for @queerconfusionthings because it’s so long and would not have fit in the replies 😂

One of my best mates of three years (we’ll call her A) and I, during our last year of high school started to have feelings for one another and so there were a lot more lengthy stares and hand holding and general pining. 

One afternoon I told my other best friend (who I’ll call C) that I really liked A. She got super super excited and basically was begging me to tell A how I felt. The three of us went to the local shopping centre after school to go to the food court to eat and chat and whatever and the whole time C is making faces at me because i kept staring at A. 

A and I get the same bus home from the shopping centre and we’re the only two sitting waiting for the next bus. I obviously can’t take it any more and go to say something along the lines of “I really need to tell you something… i think i like you more than just a friend” and A goes “I’m so glad you said that I’ve wanted to tell you the same thing for so long.” so we keep chatting and I say that I’d also really wanted to say something for ages and A tells me that she’d noticed becasue i’d kissed her hand a few times. She then proceeds to tell me that if I had done it again she was going to keep a hold of my hand AND DO IT BACK. So i melt at this point and that’s all cute but THEN, because we are little shits, we come up with a plan to prank on our dear friend C. 

The next day at school, A goes and tells C the EXACT same thing I told her the day before. THE LOOK ON C’S FACE IS PRICELESS she’s so torn about whether or not to tell A what I had (I’m in class at this point and don’t know what happens until after) But boy does C let me know. Once A revealed that we’d already confessed to each other she’s FURIOUS (it lasts about 5 seconds tho) and also SO FUCKING EXCITED. So when I come out of class I’m ripped into by C who proceeeds to tell A and I that she’s so happy for us but we are horrible people and I end up with a massive bruise on my arm from where she slapped me repeatedly out of anger and excitement and then proceeded to pull me into the biggest hug. 

THE END! But not really becasue we’ve been dating ever since 😊

It’s ANZAC day tomorrow so mums making us wake up at 5:30 to go stand in our driveway for an iso dawn service with all our neighbours.
