2020 😪 I, as I’m sure many of you are as well, am exhausted. This year has been an unending barrage of fear, pain and wake up calls. I am tired of mourning. Mourning the loss of icons, the loss of lives to police and disease, the loss of cultures, the loss of land and species. Yesterday we lost a champion for equality, truth and justice. The true American ideals and that night I found myself running for my life in the aftershock of a 4.8 earthquake. Our planet is crying out for change and now is not the time to ignore it. We must act and we must act now. Educate yourself. Read articles that make you uncomfortable. Question your reality. Ask yourself why you believe the things you do and open your heart and mind to new ideas. You don’t have to agree with everything going on right now to understand that things can’t stay this way. We must stand up for ourselves. As #RuthBaderGinsberg said herself "Real change, enduring change, happens one step at a time." This is not a battle that will be won tomorrow. It will take time and dedication because if we falter in our conviction we lose everything.
