danny ran up the stairs to his messy room, flopping onto his bed and unplugging his laptop quickly. he opened his myspace and signed on while courtney sat on the edge of his bed beside him.
โhis username is cameronugh.โ danny said out loud as he typed it in the search bar.
โhow deep and emo,โ courtney responded, which danny just rolled his eyes at.
once cameronโs profile came up, danny screamed and shut his laptop in denial. courtney panicked, laughing at what could have possibly caused that reaction. โwhat? danny, let me see. youโre cra-โ she said, flipping the lid open herself to see his profile. her eyes widened when she saw what he was talking about and flipped the lid back down. โnever mind.โ
โ20,000 friends.โ he whispered in disbelief. of course he had problems with catfishes if he was a top user. it all makes sense now. โand.. wow.โ he said, throwing his face down into his pillow and groaning.
courtney opened the laptop lid and studied his profile picture. โand what? heโs hot?โ she chuckled, looking at his shirtless profile picture. she send the friend request for him, knowing he wouldโve chickened out.
he lifted his head and glared at her, dramatically squinting his eyes. โi called dibs.โ he took back his computer, screaming when he saw that he was active. and screaming again when his request got accepted. and, of course, screamed a third time when he got a new message.
โDANNY!โ his dad yelled from downstairs, a sign to shut up.
dannyโs mood dropped and he sighed, closing his laptop. โiโm going to bed, you can go back to your room.โ
she knew better than to argue it. โiโm nextdoor if you need anything.โ she said and ruffled his hair affectionately. courtney stood up and left his room, going across the hall to her own.
he sighed in relief when she left. he got up to lock his door before lying back down on his bed and opening his laptop.
