As I work shifts I sometimes get to see daytime TV. I try to avoid the usual trash but I can't avoid the ads for upcoming shows.
The other day I joked about Gogglebox. I saw the ad and it's basically a show where you watch TV of people watching TV. Seriously. You thought Big Brother was/is bad. But that's not the worst of it.
In one ad break there was an advert for a show called Here come the Romanians. Basically demonising immigration and make is all think the European Union is all bad and Immigration is all bad. Imagine putting the the Daily Mail on TV. That's what you would get.
The other was about obesity, specifically child obesity. On this occasion I agree that something needs to be done and I know where it should start. But the advert for the programme shows that they don't. The programme is called. Childhood Obesity. Who's to Blame? Incredibly there was folk on there blaming the sweetie companies. Good grief! I suppose it is designed to shock you with your own behaviour and improve it. But then that would be Gogglebox! See what I did there?!
Those are specific issues as way of an example.
People who blame others and everything around them and don't take responsibility. Don't go blaming Dominoes because they deliver pizza or Cadbury's because they make chocolate. There are jobs out there. They were there before any of the immigrants got them.
And maybe it's because they were better suited to the job. Time for a shake up and it starts with you!
Just take responsibility.
