We come into this world alone, and we die alone. If we get sick, we fight it alone. Our parents are not there to go through chemo treatments for us. They’re not the ones losing their hair, puking buckets, or getting their asses kicked at school. If we’re involved in an accident, they’re not the ones losing blood, fighting for their lives on the operating table, losing a limb. “I’m here for you” is the dumbest sentence I’d ever heard anyone say.

Poseidon's Wrath Old sketch revisited to finish. Personal piece. It's an image of a seemingly ravaging colossal figure, derived from the Greek God of the Sea; Poseidon, emerging from the depths of the ocean. He brings with him the darkness of the skies, the swaying of the ocean, and the quaking of the earth for each steps he take. This was, at the time, a manifestation of my bittersweet relationship with art. Despite its pleasant effects, lingers the unnerving feeling of not being able to embrace its uncontrollable, often, irrational nature inside of me. I felt as though, surfacing from the deep, I found myself bursting with new ways to do more works, however I carry within the chaos that detach me from doing so. I'm getting a hang of it now.

also minimal, but out of necessity more than anything - she's lost many a purse in post-party shuffles. what's in her current bag: a pack of cigarettes (no lighter like the mooch she is), $75 in cash, a tube of mauve lipstick, a ponytail holder, a pack of cinnamon gum, a movie ticket stub, a few grams of weed.

a cool ~$46,000 in checking, ~$130k in savings. the banks parents' residuals keep her and her sister natasha well-fed.

One of the most anticipated books in 2020, I have to say that the wait was totally worth it! If I could give Angry God a thousand stars in rating I would.

L.J. Shen has a way of writing such complex characters, with so much personality that each book is completely different from the rest; I love that, we are not trapped in one specific way of writing, but she still manages to write around the rest of the characters and make a full story with so many emotions.

It´s totally necessary to read at least All Saints High previous books, and if you want a full impact on this amazing book you can star with Sinners of Saint serie.

Lenora has a secret, one she doesn´t care to share with the world, even if that secret is not hers. As years pass that secret became the only breaking point that Vaughn thought made him vulnerable and to have Lenora knowing it, it´s just an obstacle for him.

So when Lenora moves to California, Vaughn knows he has to destroy her in order to keep all the appearances and his reputation. But Lenora is not the broken girl that years ago witnessed his secret, and this time she´s not going to let Vaugh intimidate her anymore.

I needed to read Angry God, it gave my heart a peace I wasn´t aware I needed it; I loved their story, and I just can´t wait to see what else L.J. Shen has planned for us. L.J. Shen is one strong author, and so one of my favorite authors, if you are looking for a different type of high school romance, well this is it for you.
