The first character I fell in love with: Silver. (And absolutely no one is surprised) Seriously though, of course I considered the first few episodes a trial run to see if I REALLY liked him. But I do think that the moment he appeared on screen, I was done for. I’ve said this before, but the first things he did on screen was hide, kill, lie, smile, in that order, and really, what was I to do.

The character who is my ‘baby’: I don’t really call any of them my baby. But I suppose Silver could fit here. Does ‘trash baby with so much more potential than you know’ count?

The character who I do not understand: Season one gave me a tough time with both Miranda and Flint, that got better with season two. Anne has also been a bit of a mystery to me, but that has improved with her increasing number of lines.

The character that I think the show ruined: None of them, really. I mean, we’ll see how they tie it together with Treasure Island as well as history, but that’s a while.

The most attractive male and female character: Male I’d say Flint and female Max.

The character death that was the worst for me: HAHAHAahaha.. I have a friend following me who I do not want to spoil, but I think you all know what I’m taking about. Never seen a clearer example of Chekov’s gun in my life. (2x09 for those of you still confused).

The character that is the most like me: None, I’d hope. A nicer mix of Silver and Jack with like, all of their mistakes multiplied?

The character I think the writer(s) love: Flint and Vane, definitely.

The character that I just want to be happy: MAX FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING. PLEASE.

My four favorite characters, past or present: Silver, Flint, Billy, Max.

My four least favorite characters, past or present: Captain Hume, Hammond, Albinus and Ned Low (like, he was a cool character. But I liked his quartermaster more.) TWO CERTAIN QUEEN OF THIEVES SELLING BASTARDS doesn’t make the list because I was genuinely very fond of them in season one. Takes a while to stop being conflicted and I dislike those four more.

The first character I fell in love with: Joshua tbh but he ended up having such a small part it’s ridiculous. Billy after that!

The character who is my ‘baby’: Eleanor is my child and I am ready to raise her, not that she needs it

The character who I do not understand: Dufresne. He plays an interesting role and all, but I’m not sure I completely understand his train of thought, especially after he gets his captaincy. Even less so after he goes for the pardons; I can think up a couple of headcanons that would make sense of it, but from what we’ve seen in show... ehh. Wish we had more insight into who he was before piracy. The character that I think the show ruined: Joshua, Joshua you deserved better. Also Mr. Scott?? I was expecting bigger, better things but he was stuffed into an even smaller role than originally in season 2, even though he’s extremely interesting and could wreak a lot of havoc if he wanted to. Also one of the few PoC on the show who had a regular speaking role, so :/

The most attractive male and female character: Tie between Vane/Billy for male. Max is hands down the most attractive female character. The character death that was the worst for me: Miranda. I still can’t really talk about it because I am in denial. 

The character that is the most like me: Eleanor, probably. To the point where it’s not all good, bahahaha.

The character I think the writer(s) love: I get the feeling they’re big Jack Rackham fans. Really love playing up Vane’s historical reputation but so far we haven’t really seen Jack’s fuck ups; whether they’re yet to come, I dunno.

(Don’t get me wrong, I love Jack. But he wasn’t what I was expecting at all!)

The character that I just want to be happy: Flint, please be happy and grow a nice vegetable garden somewhere. He doesn’t really deserve it but at the same time he really does.

My four favorite characters, past or present: Billy, Vane, Eleanor, Flint. I really see a lot of myself in Eleanor and identify really strongly with her (I won’t go further into it lmao that’ll get tiring and boring), and Flint has always been interesting but after his reveal I felt really validated. It’s sort of come to a point that, when I start ‘feeling’ a character isn’t straight I sort of assume I’m overreacting, or that its wishful thinking/queerbaiting, so it’s really validating that 1) I was right!!! totally queer pirate captain and 2) I saw someone like me on a show that wasn’t about LGBT+ kids crying a lot in high school. There isn’t anything wrong with the genre (and its extremely important for younger queer kids) but I’d really like to see queer characters as pirates and dragon riders and mermaids and casual werewolves and stuff y’know? So bless Flint, that asshole. My four least favorite characters, past or present: This is really hard because I don’t really dislike a lot or any of the characters really? So it’s not really that I hate these characters, just like them least/am most neutral towards them: Hornigold, Jack, Dufresne, Silver (I changed my mind about Silver somewhere half way through season 2, and now I love him and want to raise him alongside Eleanor but most of season 1 he wasn’t my cup of tea at all)
