Hiii! I apologize in advance for any mistakes in this text, English is not my first language.
I've read your Superbat and Batkids angst works and I love it ❤️🩹, so I came up with my own little angst/comfort scenario.
So one day Batman gets hit with a really nasty curse, that turns other people's love for him into hatred. And the more love someone feels for him, the stronger the hatred.
But Bruce and everyone else doesn’t know that he has been cursed. But from that moment people that are closed to him started to treat him coldly, almost cruelly.
His kids don't want spend any time with him, avoiding him under almost any pretext. He irritate them. They started to snap at him, yell at him, fight, and even deliberately ignore his orders on missions
(I don't think they would try to physically hurt him without reason, but they would definitely want to, because the hatred they feel for him at that moment is worse than for the Joker).
His teammates are no better—insults and cruel comments started to rain down from them. They don't even bat an eye when Batman is seriously injured during a mission. Everyone simply ignores his pained groans and the blood stains on his hospital bed. "He's Batman, he's taken worse hits before." Even the kindest team members can't feel sorry for him. They think something’s wrong, but they can't explain what it is.
Expect one person.
Superman is the first one to figure out that something strange is going on. Why would he suddenly started to hate his best friend, who he loved and cared so much not so long ago. Why the hatred he felt for Batman was stronger than for even his worst enemy, like Darkskade, or everyone else he’s ever meet. It didn’t make sense.
Suppressing his twisted feelings, he talks to Batman about it. They both agree that something is wrong, and they immediately go to Zantara to find out what’s wrong. She quickly figures out, that Batman under the spell. Some magical adventure later, she manages to lift the spell off of him. And suddenly EVERYONE who got caught in the curse become overwhelmed with shame and gilt over everything the have ever said or did to Bruce for the past couple of weeks.
Everyone starts apologies, some even bringing flowers and presents for Bruce as an apology gifts (much to the Bruce’s confusion). But when someone asks him - “ How come you didn’t notice you were under the spell this whole time?” Bruce simply responds:
- “I knew everyone was annoyed with me, but it didn't seem strange to me . I always have a rough idea of how everyone really feels about me. So your behavior didn't seem out of place to me.»
And that was the moment everyone realised.
Bruce really did believe that no one really loves him at all. And the pain in their chest suddenly feels the 10 times bigger, then it’s ever were.
Ohh, yeah, delicious. And don't worry, english isn't my first language either.
So, I was thinking...
What if Bruce hadn't noticed because those behaviors were already normal?
His kids, and allies alike, usually treat him poorly, not caring, giving the impression they hate him more than they tolerate him.
The curse increases the negative attitudes already present, and when it's lifted, no one thinks to apologize at first, because in their opinion they haven't done anything different than usual.
Even Superman would fall into this, if he didn't know that, no, he doesn't treat anyone like that. He didn't treat Lois like that, so why would he treat Bruce in this way? His mom would be so dissapointed in him.
And he begins to realize he hasn't always been fair to his best friend/the man he's just realized he loves.
Thus begins Bruce's healing, both physically and emotionally, and Clark will bring a lot of people into line. If the curse didn't make him realize it, he'll make them realize it.

Dick’s fingers brushed against the soft cardstock paper, against the elegant script. His eyes roamed over the entire card for what seemed like the millionth time that evening. The black and bronze-gold ink mixed together perfectly.
The card screamed her taste; black on white, bronze-gold on white, elegant writing yet still had a simple flare to it. No overcrowding on the front of the paper, black and gold dots danced across the bottom edge of the paper; it was beautiful, it was her.
Dick chuckled sadly to himself as he stood himself up from the table and downed the rest of his beer. His eyes glanced at the stove clock which read in green digits three twenty-two. In the morning, too. Dick gave the card one last glimpse before he made it to his bedroom.
She said yes
Join us for the engagement party honoring

Dick laughed as Tim told him of Damian’s latest threat towards Jason. Something about them fighting and Jason took Bat-cow out, telling Damian not to mind him, he just hungry which lead to a more violent fight and Bruce having to step in. His hand clapped over Tim’s shoulder as he held himself up.
Tim chuckled at this and then looked at Dick with concern eyes. He placed his hand on Dick’s shoulder before speaking loud enough just for the two of them.
“How you are holding up?” Dick smiled softly at his brother before he brought his beer bottle to his lips. He chuckled, which caused a trickle of alcohol to spill from his lips and off his chin. Dick quickly wiped his chin and smiled at the sight.
The party was at Barry and Iris’s house, specifically the backyard. Tables were set on the concrete patch in the middle, fairy lights were all around the fence and the patio, there two hammocks set up; a buffet was set up inside, so everyone had to walk back and forth, but it was a good way to socialize. It was small, something about Wally and [Y/n] wanting the engagement party to be personal and with their close friends.
Dick’s eyes settled on her. The pale-yellow sundress complimented her skin perfectly. Her hair was in a messy bun, but it went perfect with her, like everything else did. Loose strands curled around her face and neck, her laugh dominated all the other small noises. The front of her dress was conservative but when she turned around, Dick’s breath was caught, his heart thumped against his chest and his stomach fluttered; it was like the day he saw her for the first time. The low plunge of the back of her dress made a blush creep up his neck. He cleared his throat, his eyes watching her as she moved until she made her way to Wally with a smile on her face.
Dick cleared his throat again as he looked over at Tim. “I’m getting there, Tim.” Dick offered a soft smile. Tim clapped his hand over Dick’s shoulder once more as he made his way to Garfield. Dick looked down as turned himself towards the sliding doors to grab another beer. Sure, there were coolers outside, but he needed a moment to himself.
Just as he made his way towards the fridge, Dick bumped into a figure. “I am so sorry!” Dick gasped out as his hands shot out to hold onto their shoulders. Dick’s eyebrows furrowed as he realized it was Artemis. “Artemis, I’m sorry…”
She offered him a sad smile as she shook her head. “Hey, don’t worry about it. I’m just surprised you’re here,” she laughed silently. A sigh escaped his lips, his hands retracted from her shoulders as he ran them through his hair.
“I could say the same for you,” he chuckled sadly. He opened the fridge and grabbed another beer, offering Artemis one, which she declined, before he shut the door. He chuckled as he opened the bottle. “Welcome to the ‘Ex of the Bride and Groom’ club.” Artemis laughed before she rubbed his arm.
“How are you holding up? I know this must be hard for you,” she offered a soft smile. Dick laughed himself as he shook his head. He could feel the pricking sensation at the back of his eyes.
“I’m…I could be better, but…she’s happy and he’s happy, that’s really all that matters,” he said softly. Artemis looked at him with sad eyes.
“You know, Dick. It’s okay to not be okay, right? It’s been two years, you can still not be okay.” Dick looked up at her, opening his mouth to change the topic but interrupted to the sound of metal clashing to the ground. His eyes moved and there she was.
“I’m…I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to- “she stammered out.
“No, no! [Y/n], you don’t have to apologize! This is your party,” Artemis smiled as she made her way to the door. “I’ll see you two out there,” she smiled as she stepped out onto the patio.
Dick’s eyes settled on his shoes, his hand gripping the beer bottle so that it wouldn’t slip out of his hands. He couldn’t handle looking at her, he didn’t know what words would slip from his mouth, what power those words have over the situation. He felt her gaze on him and the familiar sensation of heat crept up his neck and onto his face.
“Thank you,” she broke the silence. Dick fought himself to keep his eyes down, his eyes moved from his shoes to the beer bottle. “Thank you for…thank you for coming.” He could hear the smile behind her words. Dick sighed to himself before finally he looked up at her.
Her eyes were glazed, and a small smile pulled on the corners of her lips. She fiddled with her fingers, her eyes moved from her hands to his face, back and forth as she waited for his response. It was her tell for when she was nervous; it was the same tell she had when she told him she couldn’t be with him anymore.
“No, thank you…thank you for inviting me,” Dick spoke. Her eyes finally settled on his face. Dick’s took in the details of her face, details that he was sure he had once memorized, but they seemed new to him, foreign. She wore no eyeliner, her skin without any trace of makeup except for the mascara. The chain that he once gave her sat perfectly against her collarbone, her eyes lighter, her face well-rested.
“Dick…” she sighed out. Dick crossed over and pulled her into a quick hug before he let go to step back outside.
“Congrats, [Y/n],” Dick mumbled. A hand wrapped around his wrist and pulled him back in. Dick looked over his shoulder and she pulled him away, away from the door so that they were hidden behind curtains.
“Dick, are you okay?” she murmured, her thumb stroked his wrist. Dick stared where their skin joined.
“I’m okay, I promise you. I’m happy to be here, to celebrate you both.” He didn’t even believe himself, but he refused to be a burden to her, to him, to them. She remained silent as her eyes met his. She could see all the clouded emotions, she once knew him best as he knew her best.
“Dick, you don’t have to lie to me-“
“[Y/n], he treats you better and he doesn’t hover over you, he knows you’re strong. He knows you can hold your own, okay? I can hold my own, don’t worry. I’m here for you two, okay? Tonight, is about you two, don’t make this about us,” Dick whispered as he pressed a kiss to her forehead as he pulled away.
He tuned her out, her calls to him were muffled as he made his way to Wally, congratulating him as well as he excused himself; crime never stopped even on beautiful nights like these. He made his way to the car. As he sat, his head on the steering wheel as he waited for the car to warm up; it was trick Jason told him, that no matter the weather, always let your car run for a few minutes.
Memories of the night that she felt came flooding into his mind. He remembered it all, it was one of the things he could never forget. The way the tears ran down her face, the way they screamed at each other, the way she told him that she found somebody who believed in her, the way the door slammed after her and the pictures on the wall fell and shattered.
Dick’s thoughts were interrupted when the passenger door was opened. He lifted his head and noticed wet stains on the leather. He didn’t even realize he was crying. He sniffed as he rubbed his face free of tears. He looked over and saw Tim settling into the car.
“What are you doing?” Dick sniffled. Tim gave his brother a once over before a sad smile found its way onto his lips.
“No brother of mine should have to go through this alone, no matter how much he denies the pain. Us adoptive Waynes, we’re stubborn, but we know each other. We always have each other’s backs. This is me having yours, Dick.” Dick smiled softly as he sat back.
“Thank you, Tim.”
Tim knew that his brother would take a while before he was back to himself, before he move on and accept all that’s happened, but he would never let his brother go through it alone.
Superbat Friends to Lovers to Ex to Strangers to Lovers Again (part 2)

Part 1
The next time Clark comes to the Manor with an excuse—and he needs one, after all, he hasn't been near the place in years, and things between him and Bruce are still too shaky to introduce himself freely as if the place were his home—he finds only Dick, who greets him with a smile.
The first sign that something's wrong. He should have known, if he really knew Dick Grayson.
Dick: Hello, Uncle Clark. Why are you here?
Clark: I'm at a gala next week to follow Luthor, and I was wondering if Bruce wanted to help me with the investigation.
Dick: I thought you wanted to bring him as your date.
Clark: Oh, no…it's definitely too soon…
Dick: Well, you're right, it's not like you've known each other for almost twenty years and raised a child together…oh, sorry, I forgot. The child in question wasn't yours. That doesn't count, does it?
Dick reveals he knows all about Clark and Bruce's previous breakup, and how it was because Clark didn't feel cut out for the role of a parent.
And that could have been understandable, really. He was quite young at the time, and already had a lot on his plate.
Too bad that within three years, Clark got engaged and then married to Lois, and soon after, Jon was born. A good boy, Jon, a sweet boy. An easy child to handle, unlike Dick (and Jason, Cass, Tim, Damian, Duke...).
And the divorce from Lois... they broke up because of a relationship crisis, right? A crisis that could have been resolved if Clark hadn't simply given up, because it was easier. And isn't this a pattern? Things get tough, and Clark decides that leaving is the best solution.
He did it with Dick, with Bruce, with Lois... does he really think Dick will let him hurt Bruce again?
Clark says it's not his intention, but Dick reminds him that his history doesn't speak in his favor, and that he's been all too happy to make Dick assume the worst about Bruce over the years. He'd seen some of the arguments between Bruce and Dick at the Watchtower, he knew Dick was unaware of the real reasons for their separation, but he'd never come forward to tell the truth.
No, it was much more convenient to make people assume Bruce was the problem, wasn't it? Clark treated Dick like an equal, and for years Dick hadn't noticed how abnormal that behavior was. But now he realizes that Clark was distancing himself from him like that, denying their relationship.
Dick isn't having it anymore. He says that Bruce at least tried with him, something Clark never did. And what, does he expect that just because Dick is now an adult, he no longer needs a parent? Does he think he can come back because the main obstacle is out of the way?
He didn't think Superman was so shameless.
The argument escalates, Clark says things he shouldn't have said about Bruce, and Dick hits him. (Something like the super canon, happiness is foreign to you, Bruce. Seriously, who wrote something like that? )
Before things get too serious, Bruce arrives and stops them. Bruce realizes that Dick is injured, probably with a broken hand, and although he doesn't like it, he recognizes that his son did what he did for him.
Clark tries to talk to him, but Bruce tells him to go away. After all, Clark doesn't have time for him, letting him know that he's heard most of what Clark had said about him.
