FAQs

“Do I have to create for all thirty days?”

- Not at all! Feel free to jump in whenever you’d like. This is a creation event, so create as much or as little as you want! However, if you want to be entered in the shout out post, you must participate in all 30 days.

“Can I post a creation after the day has already passed?”

- Yes! You’re welcome to post for a prompt day even after the date, just be sure to tag with which day and prompt you’ve created for! You will only be eligible for the shoutout post if you complete all 30 days within the month of April.

“What if I don’t understand/like a prompt?”

- We have a list of 10 alt prompts for you to choose from if you don’t like the main 30. Feel free to use our alternate prompts for any day, and if there’s any confusion send us an ask!

You weren’t supposed to find anything here. Chimney Rock was meant to be a pause. A quieter place. A way to fix what had already begun to fade.

Instead, it became something else.

Something slower. Something harder to name.

Because loneliness doesn’t arrive all at once. It settles in the spaces no one is looking at. In the silences. In the nights that stretch a little too long.

And sometimes... it leads you somewhere you weren’t meant to go.

A church at the edge of town.

A man who was never meant to be yours.

A feeling you don’t know how to stop once it starts.

Some things aren’t chosen.

Just… impossible to stop once they begin.

Jamie is known for training hard. Often, she’d need to be forced to stop, or she’d train for the entire day. No one knew Jamie was ignoring how hot it is today. She is running a mile.

Jamie walks into the base, drenched in sweat. Gaz, Ghost, Price, and Soap notice as she walks down the hall. All thinking the same thing; Jamie ran in the heat. “Why did you run in this heat?!” Ghost scolds. “You could have at least done a workout in the air-conditioned gym,” Soap adds. Price watches as the others scold Jamie. He can tell that something isn’t right. Before he can say anything, Jamie falls forward. Ghost catches her and has her sit on the floor. “Get the hyperthermia first aid kit,” he orders Soap. Soap runs down the hall. Gaz and Price worry they should take Jamie to the medbay, but they trust Ghost. Instead, Ghost picks Jamie up and takes her to the common room.

Soap runs into the room as Ghost lays Jamie on the couch. Soap gets the three ice packs from the kit. He puts two under her armpits and one on her neck. Ghost takes Jamie’s temperature. “Damn it. 101° F.” Gaz hands him Jamie’s water bottle filled with Gatorade. Ghost helps Jamie drink. The four know she’s unwell since she’s not arguing. Soap goes to get more ice packs, knowing the ones on Jamie’s body will melt fast. No one knew Price had left until the man returns with a standing fan. He positions the fan close to Jamie, ensuring the cool air is blowing toward her. Ghost has Jamie drink half of the contents of the water bottle. By then, the ice packs will need to be switched. “At least her temperature is going down,” Ghost assures the others. “102° F.” Gaz, Price, and Soap know this is good; They’re still annoyed Jamie ran in the heat. They doubt she’ll learn from this. The four men continue to monitor Jamie to ensure her temperature is decreasing and that she doesn’t need to be rushed to the medbay.

“Doesn’t matter,” Eddie began, shaking his head, “It's you. I think I've loved you my entire life. I know I will for the rest of it. I didn’t even realise I liked guys, and I knew you were it. I’d love you no matter what,” it's here, that Eddie’s smile goes a bit cheeky, though the look in his eyes is no less sincere, “Buck, I’d love you even if you were a woman.”

“Yeah?” he asks, laughing slightly, eyes a little watery.
