Another Prompt

"N-no. I don't care, I don't care. You know it." Hero chokes back tears, and they lower their gaze, refusing to meet Villain's piercing eyes.

"Don't be stupid!" Villain snaps harshly. They tilt Hero's chin upwards with a gloved hand and rip off their mask with the other.

"Look at me!" Their voice cracks. "I've committed atrocities. I've done things, knowing full well that they were wrong, and I still did them!" They slowly lower their hand.

Hero's breathing hitches, and they bite down on their lip to stop themselves from bursting into tears. "But you've changed. You've done good too. And even before that, I've always seen more. More than a criminal. Someone I love."

Villain feels their throat burn. Why does this feel so wrong? The words that roll of their nemesis's tongue are sincere. They never lie. But they're terrified nonetheless.

"I-I. . .But how do you know I've changed? That I'm not lying, that I won't hurt you? HOW DO YOU TRUST SO BLINDLY, HERO?" they roar, all the hesitation gone from their tone.

"I LOVE YOU! That is how. Love without trust is just like a tree with no roots. So easy to blow away. To destroy. Please, come with me." They take off their mask, eyes glassy and voice desperate.

"I c-can't." Villain is sure they can hear their own heart breaking, and they're the ones clutching the pickaxe, smashing at it with no mercy.

Because they were too selfish stop loving Hero, no matter how wrong it seemed.

I want to see Cass silently scold Damian. Steph plucking out wings. Brother/sister JayCass watching the sky or TV Series to forget about relax tension from nightmare. I want to see Cass winghug her whole family because her wings are for hugs first and then maybe for battle. And then maybe Damian is a little Jealous because his own wings are steel hard and not fluffy soft like Cass.

a blackout poetry thing i did for my commart class? its not really blackout poetry? but i did outline words in butterflies so that probably counts theyre all negative reflecting jay's low self esteem and shitty thoughts that he has about himself i hc him as violently insecure so anyway just fuckin take it

to and from

Rose knew they were never going to settle down. There may have been carpets and mortgages and stops at the grocery store and visits to mum’s but it was never really like that.

It was lovely, that they could go back to how things were before. Sort of.

They started off small. She took off time from work to show him around the universe they’ve been to before. Everyone in the building knows who finally arrived, and they weren’t going to argue with the Chief’s daughter.

They walked down the street together, she pointed out the differences like she’d been carrying a notebook and pen just to mark them all down. The street names are for different streets. Tesco signs are blue instead of red. There’s no such thing as Star Wars (he’s baffled by that) but there is a Galaxy Battle series (totally different, not the same).

Then they take it a bit farther. Let’s go camping this weekend, she says. He suggests they take a trip to Barcelona a couple months later. She tells him she’s going to start going on missions again and he can come too, if he wants (of course he does). They explore more of their Earth, where everything is the same and different all at once. Missions to America become a relocation, and they live there for years until they need to move again. And then it’s Peru, Quebec,Nigeria, Dubai, Japan, even Antarctica (significant decrease in penguin populations, as well as sightings from researchers of a massive scaled creature under the ice).

She’s been human all her life, but he doesn’t know what it’s like. He says he’s like her, with a short life span and all the limitations that come with it but he’s not. He may be aging, but his body is so much stronger to accommodate to his Time Lord biology too.

I’m tired, she’ll tell him. He’ll get that sad look in his eyes because he knows, and he’ll slow down for her so she can go with him. But he never stops. He can’t, he’ll tell her when she asks why he doesn’t, and sometimes she wonders if he’s trying to prove something. Maybe not to her, maybe to himself- his other self- that he’s as much of a Time Lord as he is human and he’s still him because the biology doesn’t change anything (it does, of course it does, he’s more human than he was before in every aspect)
