BentonCarter but where John and Peter break up after a solid few years and John tries to stay in Reece's life and Peter says no. John calls his brother Robby and ends up moving to Pittsburgh. Peter realizes he fucked up and misses Carter but it might be too late. Carter's settled down in Pittsburgh, he's got friends, family, and his brothers' partners.

Peter visits Pittsburgh just to be met by all the pittlings, Robby, and Jack telling him off 😭

Dennis and Carter are hiding in an on-call room and somehow shit turns violent with Robby and Peter throwing blows. Carter tends to Peter while Dennis and Jack tend to Robby.

Needless to say, after they get back together, Robby still doesn't like Peter.

I came across this fan video centered on Alec, set to No Surprises by Radiohead, and it genuinely moved me.

There’s something about the quiet melancholy of the song paired with those Broadchurch images… it captures Alec’s loneliness, restraint, and quiet despair so perfectly.

I’ve watched this video more times than I can count while writing. It helped me slip back into the atmosphere of Broadchurch. That muted light, that weight in the air, that fragile humanity.

The editing is absolutely beautiful, and the music choice is simply perfect.

Luna sat on the edge of Aegon's bed, her eyes locked on a few withering roses by his nightstand. When had her own red flower last blossomed? It had been a while, hadn't it? Drawing in her bottom lip, she chewed it carefully. What if... what if his seed had taken? The thought filled her with a terrible mixture of dread of excitement. The romantic in her immediately wanted to play family. Her mind toying with the idea of watching him play with their child and teaching it all the important things in life, but that was merely fantasy. Aegon barely played with his legitimate children as it was. Why would he care for bastards? At best it would be just another child of the pleasurehouse... but would that be the worst thing? Luna had a decent life there. Her mother wouldn't be proud of her, but bastard of a royal was still something.

"You're quiet."

Luna flinched, her breath hitching and catching in her throat. She hadn't heard Aegon come in. He probably hadn't been quiet about it either, but her mind had been far away. Now her head whipped around to look at his figure. There was a light smirk at the corner at the corner of his lip and one of his brows lifted curiously at her. "Didn't mean to frighten you." He chuckled as he walked over to bed-side table where he sat down the pitcher.

"My apologies, your grace. My mind was somewhere else." "Clearly."

She felt the bed shift beneath his weight as he sat down beside her. His fingers found her hair easily and tucked it away from her shoulder. It tickled as he leaned in, his lips ghosting over her skin. Already her mind was drifting into the sweet illusion of safety that came with Aegon's presence. Even though he could be cruel and neglectful, Aegon had this ability to make her forget it all. He barely had to do anything for it either.

"Should we discuss it?"

"Mh what?" She murmured, turning her head to meet his lips in a careful kiss. They tasted of sweet wine. "What's on your mind." His tone was soft and he barely parted from her to say it, his fingers were already moving down her arms and urging her to draw him closer. She read those small signs well by now. It was easy when he was the only man she paid that kind of attention to. She wanted to give in. Dismiss the subject. She should have done that. Perhaps things would have ended differently, if she had.

"I've not bled it a while."

She felt his breath against her as he gave a deep sigh. "Aegon." His touch slipped away and he stood from the bed, leaving Luna to reach out for him, unsure if she should stay or leave. Unsure if he was angry or just displeased. "Ageon...?"

He did not look to her at all as he crossed the floor and opened the door. His didn't leave, however. Instead he just poked his head out to speak with guard stationed there.

"Go to the maesters and fetch me a tea for my lady friend."

I'm tired so excuse me if I sound dumb rn but is it just me or does the song Call Them Brothers by Regina Spektor kinda have Satan and Lucifer vibes? This isn't a request I just think it's neat

This is probably only my third post ever and I have like 2 followers (affectionate) but I have read sooooo many great IF/VN’s lately that it inspired me to make a playlist. Just something to listen to while I’m reading that I figured I’d share. Some songs I correlate to specific stories and characters (feel free to ask) but overall, it’s just lots of angst.
