Okay, listen. We know Carlo loved 'Pinocchio'. Probably his favorite tale, a book his mother maybe read to him and one that he continued to read again and again until...

He started to form some kind of hate love for it.

The reason? It is a story about a puppet.

A puppet.

That one thing Geppetto is famous about. He is the creator of Krat's second greatest treasure. It's puppets.

Do you really think he would be able to love his favorite story full heartedly when it reminds you of the thing your dad cares more about than you?

Rose knelt before the grave marking the fallen Scions.

"Its over," she rumbled softly, "The Black Wolf is dead, his bitch Livia as well and the XIVth Imperial Legion dead or fled...."

Unashamed tears fell from her face as she fell silent. Unable to continue due to her throat closing with grief. Her foes are dead, her colleagues avenged.

By rights she should feel victorious.  But she didn't all she felt was the raw pain of the loss.  She knew deep down it would be this way, no matter how many Garlean's she killed it wouldn't bring the dead Scions back.

She had her victory over the Imperials and her vengeance for the fallen.  But, they were still just that fallen.

I can't bring them back, but I can live for em, she told herself.

After a few moments more she stood a fire of determination burning in her eyes and she rasped hoarsely, "For those I have lost, For those I may yet save."

The sun rose on the horizon heralding a new dawn and the Roegadyn turned toward it and readied a teleport spell.  As always the Warrior of Light had work to do.

This is my original idea about my Au. So this Au take place in the same timeline except when they both reach in their 40’ s (except, Baldi is 39 while Princi is 2 years older), something terrible happen while they are watcing the fireworks.
