Say what you like about the Sith, they're single-minded. We saw Aniken become Darth at the end of RotS, and then... he's wearing exactly the same outfit like 20 years later. Do you think in the early days he changed it up a bit, but then decided his black look contrasted too well with the stormtroopers and those blokes in the red rubber, so maybe drop the paisley.

Star Wars AU in which Padme spends one hour with the young adult Aniken, then goes to find Obiwan and drags him with her to the Jedi Council, and the next thing Aniken knows, he's locked up and having mandatory psychotherapy, because it really doesn't take Padme long to realise he's a fucking bomb waiting to go off and needs help and not her.
