I consistently underestimate my wordcount, to the point where it’s probably something I should get looked at. But hey, it gives everyone the opportunity to laugh at me as the chapter count ticks up, right?

@animarune Yes but do the Lions have mental links with everyone in the universe? How do mental links even work for that matter, bc Allura apparently got one with the mice from sharing the Voltronverse's equivalent of a bacta tank which...wut?

Plus Allura and Coran also have the universal speech and aren't connected to the Lions either.

I mean, it's not an important part of the show at all and I know I'm unusually picky where languages in fiction are concerned (I have a whole rant about this re: James Cameron's avatar bc it's particularly blatant there but honestly most multilingual settings in fiction are dissatisfying to me for the simple reason that authors rarely bother explaining how these people understand each other) but it still bugs me xD

I just remembered we read a shirt story about a knight who saved all the princesses and and slayed all the dragons and then at the end when we were all clearly waiting for the knight to get married to one of the princesses she took off her helmet and rode off into the sunset And like the moral of the story was supposed to be a feminist thing about not assuming the gender of the faceless protag, and to a lesser extenct, to not expect the outcome of a story before you get there But my ADHD brain just summoned this experience from the æther and slammed it over my head demanding bUT WHAT IF???? she married a princess anyway Or aLL OF THEM??? Gimme all the polyamorous wlw knights in shining armour please it's my birthday

Very curious to know what your Apotheosis world state means!

it's basically like... my multiwarden, multi-hawke, multi-inq worldstate. the word apotheosis itself refers to a process of deification, divinization -- it's about elevating a person to the status of a god. so in a broader sense, the story behind apotheosis as a worldstate/re-imagining of da, is specifically related to deconstructing and reconstructing The Chosen One trope as a classic aspect of fantasy stories. or that's the intention, anyway! i'm sure the project will grow and change as i work on it more :)
