#animation struggle

My only fear with finding voice actors is how little I know about organization and management. I'd hate to make a fool out of myself and hurt my reputation with some VAs who took a chance on me.

Manda panicking about various audio struggles below:

I know how to take auditions for the most part. I have a script that probably just needs one more proofread. Once we have all the VAs the trouble begins.

First... how do I organize everyone. My original plan was Discord, but I no longer want to use that app and I don't want any part of my projects posted there. I think I could use Google Drive??? That's the only other application I know of and idk if it actually does what I'm thinking. I think I can handle everything over email- having VAs email me the sound files. So that should be fine, right?

Buuut what about those sound files? Which file type is best? I need to research that.

Moving past file types, how do I guage the quality of a performance? How do I direct someone? Especially if they're emailing me voice lines and I can't direct them live. Do I need to have a zoom meeting with each VA where I coach them on their lines?

And WAIT... now I have a ton of sound files on my computer. I need a system to organize them so I can find them later! Wait... and what if someone's mic is louder than everyone elses? How do I edit and adjust the audio to make everything sound somewhat cohesive?

Once I get all the audio collected I need to add it to the animation.... uhhhh how do I do that? How do I animate with audio? My favorite app doesn't allow it and Blender has the option, but I don't understand it.

Oh and then I need music and sound effects.

None of these are all that difficult to solve on their own, but as a person who's more on the vibes side of thing who hates the management side of thing, this has been the scariest part of the entire process.

(The actual scariest part is working with other people and having to manage a team tbh.)

The problem of being an animator and being most comfortable animating traditionally is you have 55 sheets of paper with one slight difference per paper like a "spot the difference" puzzle and no idea where to put it because your first folder is full and your second folder is full. Yes I care about each drawing I make but yes I also have it lying on the couch and on the coffee table. No I won't paper clip them together yet, I'm not done. Anyway I just had to vent this issue thank you for reading
