I miss living in America, because of all the art conventions I get to go. Shows like Comic con, Lightbox Expo and a new one that I found out today Milan Art Experience. Comic Con is for comic book artists and animators and illustrators. Lightbox Expo is the same. Milan Art Experience is for fine artists. During these conventions, you get to buy art from Artist Alley and go listen to panels. During the panels you can gather information about animation studios or comic companies.
I believe Milan Art Experience is a similar show to Comic Con except they are for fine artists. Also during big art shows like Comic Con and Milan Art Experience, you get to network with people and art collectors. I don’t know why the animation shows in Taiwan are unlike American animation shows, all they do is sell sell sell no panels. The only panels are in fine art shows. I think Taiwan artists can only talk to art collectors when they have solo or collaboration shows.
