because Iv been trying to stay in reality and out of my head here is a steven universe illustration dump iv been working on, iv done a lot of them but not as much lately.
I’ve just seen some artist (idk animator idk who they were) say how, “if you’re trying to be an animator. Yeah stop. The animation industry is about to be shit with all the big companies and shit. Don’t go into this field.” And it was really depressing but then I started thinking, in this shit from butt situation we’re in with big studios with horrible decisions and rise of ai, it’s during times like these where we need to believe in the line of work stronger than ever. Fight back. Don’t lose hope. Shout out exactly why you want to be an animator and an artist. Because it brings you joy and it brings others joy. This isn’t just a job you clock in for. Animation has soul. The strongest part of animation and art in general is the soul. And right now. More than ever is when we need to boldly point that out.
