... and warning for how atrocious the readability of this post is (i wrote this as I nyoomed off to Calgary on Saturday actually, um. I swear someday these will actually look like a 21 year old is writing them :') Haha)
Sooo this year I was only able to make it to Friday of the con, but despite that, it was one of my favourite cons so far 'cause I was able to spend most of it dorking out with my dear friends in our letterman jacket Free! outfits ahhh!! <3
Getting to the con was hilarious 'cause it was p much like a clown car of sport anime nerds -- we all squished into the car and blasted Free! music all the way there (WE ARE WE ARE WE ARE HEY FUTURE FISHHH LETS LETS LETS GO) and it was glorious.
And basically, vaults and Lian were the actual cutest like. I could've gotten cavities because they were hecka adorable holding hands going onto the con grounds and it was just so perf I cannot. And being the cute impressionable children we are, me and my bae sweetestar followed suit and held hands and was cute and there was a lot of laughing about how mymindsracingchasingpirates is 5ever GOU(LOL SHHH AND IF YOURE READING THIS ACEY, YES I CAN HEAR THE CRIES OF PROTEST UR PROBABLY MAKING AND I RAISE U AN THE N TO THE O, MY GOu ='D) and we all kept making puns and wordplays on her name and the fact that we were "free" and many laughs were had uahahhaha.
I ended up getting piggyback rides from the entire iwatobi crew and I was on the top of the world TBH (and omg vaults u are wonderfully and beautifully tall and it made my day to be piggybacked around by my papa Haru. LIKE. MY HARU THO how u so cool??? All our selfies vaults looks like hella cool hella model like... haru is dat u??) and omg pyrahus gave me one after cause she was like ayy its mama's turn to carry our weird yet adorable child(ye das me) and actually... it was maybe more like "ok papa i got this, ill take this hyperactive dork and make sure he dont get into any trouble"
but basically wtf Lian is so precious like <3 she casually piggybacked me as we chatted with some people for a bit and ugh it was so cute it destroyed me a lil. Later in the day we met Plutopia Productions(plutopia001) and Destiny's Curse Photography, and did some family pics with our free group and it was just super cool and chill to work with them! =D I really admire how fantastic the photos look even prior to processing when we were viewing them there, and I am really just amazed! And as an amateur photographer, I def hope I can learn a thing or two from them someday -- they did great work, and def one of the highlights of the con! I'm still like 5ever luaghng at how while me and sweetestar were taking pics together, there was a moment when there was a comment like "hey, we've done photos like this before! ... well they were wedding photos though!" Hahaha so yeuh me and my Rei-chan got married and have many cute fam pics to show for it!
We also got to briefly cameo in otlproductions's Idols Gone Wild video as Cifera's dedicated fanboys, and got to splash Free! with dorky swimming strokes in alfiejlim's first showcase video and it was a hella great time shooting with the both of them <3 They both did suuuper amazing work and I'd definitely check 'em out if you haven't already!! =D
Ahhhh omg i got to meet joey--kun and Suzaku too and I just !!! I only got to meet briefly and I totally wish I knew I wouldn't be coming back on Saturday at this point, 'cause I definitely wish I got to hang with them more but srsly they were so friendly and cute and they looked sO good! It's always super surreal when you see cosplayers you've only seen on Facebook(or at least I've only seen Suzaku and also Joey's Koujaku on the internets!) and they were like the most perf Aoba and Koujaku. <3 I really hope next time we get to hang for real!!
AH and so back to the con, there were maybe 10000 cute Free! boys and there was this one sper cute Nagisa with the blue and white Iwatobi swim club jacket that I saw a few times on Friday(on the con grounds and at Denny's!) and omg just. I hope we meet again cause my fellow cosplayer was so adorable and it was so fun how excited we got when we would see each other bahaha im cry. It makes me so happy how friendy and cute people are, and ahh Nagisa power to us all.
btw im like 9999% sure sweetestar is like a magical girl or smth because she just trasnformed from one gay animu boy to another flawlessly and dayum. just. DAMN GIRL. I was cry because it was beautiful and also partially cause she changed and found a cute and adorable green haired boyfrand(SQUINTING AT U tamamori BUT DUDE, U WERE SUH A GOOD MIDORIMA AHHHH) and mostly cause she pulled off that character change so well!! Also tamamori doing the praying thingn at the table at Denny's was the greatest, tho at this point I cant remember if we were prayin for da booty or if we preying for our souls tbh LOL lawd
It was so fun too cause I got to know ignotae more too and wow ok just. The tea thing ruined me buwahhaa like i could not believe the utterly horrified reaction to the waitress bein like "NO UR NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE U ONLY GOT TEA" guhdufh sweetie alert pls, much fun such adorbs. But basically it was super cool to get to know her more and cry a lil about innocent Lian and laugh about innuendos and mpreg with everyone(Good Lord help us all).
Acey and I shared a milkshake cutely and I would like to believe this is the moemnt my Gou-chan finally accepted the fact that I have great biceps. This is what happens when u go to prison LOL thug biceps. ALSO Acey being her adorably charming self was declared mama Makoto's favourite child at the end of the night but.... alas, I eventually was later declared the mam's favourite after pouring her an iced tea in the late hours of the night (take that G-O-U channnnn! Muahahahha ily i'm sry theR CAN ONLY B ONE) and all was well in the world. <3
Getting to hang with and get to know vaults, sweetestar, ignotae and everyone more was really awesome and fun and just. Can't say it enough tbh, it was just really amazing to dork around with Lian and everyone! It was amazing being able to get to better know the some of the sweeties that I got to meet at Ota and Taste of Athon this past year, and also some of my cosplay friends that I've only gotten to talk to over the internet! =D I miss and treasure the time I got to spend at Athon this year. <3 Thanks for the memories everyone! I can't wait til next year!! =D
On the last day of animethon right before everyone left there was a cosplay photographer who took my photo as Anna from Frozen he gave me his card that had pictures of other cosplay work he's done on it, but I can't find the card. Can anyone help me find my pictures?
Eeyore cosplay Animethon 2014
So this was my super minimalist Eeyore cosplay that I wore on Saturday of Animethon 21. My lovely friend shaouais took most of these photos for me (the last one was Sam) and let me post them here.
I got pretty good reactions with this. Not a lot of pictures, but I did get lots of hugs, and even a kiss! I'm pretty sure I way over-did the makeup, but apparently it was enough for people not to recognize me, which was super cool! Not even Kay, who recognizes me no matter which cosplay I am in!
Eeyore was super fun, comfortable, and I can't wait to do him again!
