Koda looked down at the mochi and then up to Kirishima and, face completely neutral and voice utterly deadpan, offered these five words:

“Did you lick these too?”

Only dissolving into a mischievous little smile and giggle after a few seconds. He was totally teasing, one hundred percent, but it was fun to mess with his friends sometimes.

         “Uwa--?!” Disbelief and confusion flickered onto his features as he gaze darted down to the mochi then back to the other.

         Only to pause and relax once the other began to laugh. 

         Standing near stunned in awe for a moment--holy crap, that just happened!--then did he snicker once before bursting into a few giggles of his own. “Pffha...! Oh man, you got me good there! You really are the best!”

It is an observation that Shinso doesn’t stop to think before he points it out. His voice is gentle and curious so not as to trifle with the other’s hearing. The last thing Shinso would want to do is intimidate the boy and give the impression that he is disturbed by his words for that would be naught but a lie. This praise for someone bashful such as Koji, Shinso knew it was sincere; Koda wouldn’t be fishing for anything in return. Heroes are benevolent and he was no exception.

              ”I must thank you, Koda. I don’t know how many people overlook this side of you, but I think you’re very brave; You always have something nice to say to me and here I am, unsure what I should tell you ...”

He tapped the shorter hero on the shoulder, pointing to an ad he'd gotten in a magazine advertising some end of the year sales at one of his preferred pet supply shops. He was wondering if Midoriya would want to come along with him. He'd treat him to lunch as a thank you, of course.

“Hm?” Izuku turned, reading over where the other had pointed to. A sale, huh? Well, it would be nice to get out of the dorms for once. With a nod, Izuku smiled. “Yeah! That sounds really fun!”

“I haven’t been to a pet store in years, too. So it’ll be fun to look around.”

“Move into stance, first. Lower center of gravity, shoulders up-” Then he raises his hand, flattening it in order to chop. “Then, when you swing, the strength is in the way your hips and shoulders pivot- don’t try to just rely on the brute force of your arms and hands alone. That can cause damage in the long run.”
