What countries do you want to go to and why?
Oh wow, this is a hard one 'cause there's just too many. I want to visit every country in the world 'cause they're all unique. But as of now, my number one is Africa. Why? 'cause it's so beautiful. The wildlife and nature and everything and of course, to do volunteer work! :D
2. What is the most valuable thing to you and why? (Something concrete, not a person)
Hmm...a valuable thing. I know this is a boring answer but it's the truth. Nothing. I gradually learned how to not-love-material-things 'cause nothing lasts forever and it's not material things that gives you true happiness.
3. If you could play any instrument, what instrument would that be?
The harp! Hahahah..I have this fantasy about Greece and Rome and it somewhat reminds me of it. Plus, the sound is so beautiful :O
4. Who is your favorite blogger here on Tumblr?
I haven't really found my fav yet :")
5. What is it that irritates you easily?
It's not concrete so I don't know what to name it but it's what's caused by my "perfectionist" attitude. When things go wrong, or not the way i planned i get really irritated.
6. Do you like your life? Why or why not?
I need to love my life. It's what God and my parents have given me. But realistically, I can say I like it. It's not perfect but I guess compared to other peoples' lives, it can be rated good.
7. What is your favorite book?
There's too many! I feel like I'd be being unfair if I'd name just one. Ugh...this is hard...One of my all time favorite classics is The Little Prince. I can never forget the emotions I felt when I read that book.
8. What do you do to cope up with depression?
Hahah..this I have a lot of experience with. To put it simply, when the depression's light, I cry it all out. When it's too much.....
9. Who is the person you are most attached with?
Since you say person, I guess my mom.
10. What is your favorite mood booster food?
What else? Chocolates!
11. Are you happy with your life or not? Have you found an eternal source of happiness?
This is quite similar with number 6. I am happy :) And I tell you, if you say you're life's happy, it will be! Jesus is my eternal source of happiness, strength and love :)
My questions:
1. What is the greatest dream/ambition you have ever had?
2. Do you have "real" friends?
3. If you could ever be another person, who would you be?
4. One talent you wish you had?
5. One thing you can be proud of?
6. Most memorable tumblr happening (anything like question, post, pic, etc.)?
7. Do you ever want to get married and have kids?
8. Do you believe that dreams do come true?
9. What are you doing, right now?
10. If you could change any one thing on earth, what and how would you change it?
11. What you think about the tagger (me) LOL.

And for those I will tag, here are my questions for you:
1. If you can read a poem of Pablo Neruda to someone, who would that be?
I still don't know.. But that would be my husband. 2. What are the books you want to read?
I have many in line but I want to read 1Q84 and other books of Haruki Murakami, Stardust, Life of Pi. 3. What can you say about the Lady Gaga’s concert protest?
Uhm, I respect them because they are also Christians. I admire them for being so passionate but the best the government can do is to refrain Lady Gaga from singing the most malicious songs. Plus, Christians did their best and the good thing is that even though they did not stop LG's concert is they showed the nation-- even the world that their Faith will not be shaken. 4. And do you actually believe that she’s evil?
I don't believe that she's evil because according to what I've heard she was victimized by a group so her eyes weren't opened for the Lord the very first time it did. 5. If you can go back to medieval life, who would you want to marry? A prince or a knight?
Well, it depends on who I am. If I were a really poor girl and my father is a peasant, I will marry a prince because you know it's very tragic. But if I were this really brave and strong girl I would marry the knight. On second thought, i would marry a prince because no matter what I am, I will be strong and a Prince can be a fighter, too. 6. If God says, you should let him go, will you?
Of who? But of course, I will. It's His will. 7. Are you a reader of A Song of Ice and Fire series or do you even watch GOT in HBO? (if you do, i’ll best friend you! Haha!)
I'm not. :( But I've been eyeing the book for so long I just don't have the moolah. :/
8. If you have the power of teleportation, in what place will you go first?
Uhm, I.. Jerusalem?
9. If you can talk to a person from your past, what are you going to tell him?
I am going to blab about the present and how much I do not want him/her to change the way it did but then it would be boring. I would still say it.
10. What indie songs do you know?
The Script songs, Bear, Need You Now, Tape Song, Lisztomania, etc.
11. What is your greatest fear and why is so? Explain.
I don't know. I fear a lot of things. I fear not being good enough. I fear that everybody would know that I really care because I should not. I fear of falling in love, maybe that is. I don't want to be one of those people who were eaten by love. I know it's up to you, but what if, I will be? Yeah, that's what I fear. I am afraid to take risks like that because I can't, I can't afford to.
Hihi. I enjoyed answering, Ate Princess. :)
I hope you enjoy mine! Elaborate. Hihi

Reader feedback and a lesson in assumptions.

These Filipinos and their voodoo. I’m studying Nursing here in the Philippines and I hear about this kind of stuff all the time. They are so superstitious. This made ma laugh. Thanks :-)
katisconfused replied to your post: TSK: I say "Potato", you say "Witchcraft"
You should always take your full course of antibiotics for your vengeance curse. Wait, if she thinks it is a curse why is she seeing you and not a voodoo medicine person?
imaginaryhowlings replied to your post: TSK: I say "Potato", you say "Witchcraft"
Yeah, it’s just MRSA… *eyeroll* it’s not like it’s highly contagious and potentially lethal in some cases…
anjj replied to your post: TSK: I say "Potato", you say "Witchcraft"
I saw the comment of another user. Not all Filipinos are superstitious. And I’m a Filipino, that’s why I’m probably a little defensive. But still!
russellhammond replied to your post: TSK: I say "Potato", you say "Witchcraft"
Instead of laughing at people with these beliefs, or rolling your eyes at them, why don’t you find ways to relate to them and explain the issue (and how to resolve it) in ways that they will understand and believe?
Just a couple comments about all the comments:
Nowhere in that post do I say the patient IS Filipino, only that the boils started "when she was in the Philippines".
The patient is actually a 40-something Caucasian female.
I did explain MRSA to this patient, and there was no eye-rolling by me in her presence. By the end of the visit, she still felt that the boils were a curse, but she understood that a bacteria was carrying out the effects of the curse.
At the end of the visit, the patient did mention something about "You seem so smart, much smarter than those healer people". I didn't pursue this intriguing conversational tidbit, but I shudder to think what it implies.
So, two lessons to learn from this, readers:
Be careful what assumptions you make, in the process of accusing me of making assumptions or acting in a stereotypical manner. My stories are written to emphasize the humor, not to provide a complete retelling of the entire visit.
I reserve the right to eye-roll online at ANYTHING my patients do which is funny, silly, dumb, or downright dangerous. If you are someone who doesn't enjoy this perspective on medicine, perhaps this blog is not for you. :)
