PRACTICE PAGES FT. ANKETHIA ! :D ( character is butch, she/her! )

here is some recent practice pages i did with my old gal ankethia as my muse! XD

ankethia has rather light armor crafted from various bleached xenomorph bones and the remains of other creatures. she’s already got some super tough, leathery skin that’s difficult to tear into. now that she’s a retired hunter turned ancient clan leader, there isn’t much need for this armor anymore. it currently stands on a custom armor stand that one of her clanmates made for her some time ago. every now and again, though, she likes to put her armor on and drink up the nostalgia.

ANKETHIA x MAK’ARHU / YAUTJA OCS ( both characters are women, she/her!! )

a mini doodle dump of two of my yautja OCs! drew these while i was taking a break from commission work and projects. i saw killer of killers and had to sate a brainworm in me lol

with mak’arhu you might notice ankethia looks a little different— she’s actually in her prime here, and this is before ankethia lost her eye while hunting a queen mother xenomorph. she was with mak’arhu, hunting alongside her prior to becoming the clan leader of resting blade. unfortunately, mak’arhu passed and has been dead for many years leading up to “current” time. but her memory lives on and so does ankethia’s love for her.

i won't get too into their lore here but i'll share a brief overview! ankethia and mak'arhu hail from rivaling clans that hunt the same "ultimate" prey. mak'arhu is determined to prove her worth to her clan, meanwhile, ankethia prefers to be on her lonesome and feels that she owes her clan nothing. whilst hunting the same ultimate prey, they encounter one another, leading them to hunting each other down instead. this leads to a rather... interesting relationship between the two of them.

gooood morning! enjoy some doodle posting for the tumblr crowd, just a little treat to celebrate the end of the semester and finally making a dent in all my WIPs! which i will hopefully have one of them up very soon. lots of monster arts on the way!! and i’m feeling more and more confidence in my doodles/sketches so i’ll be sharing them more often :3

anyway, these are some miscellaneous character exploration doodles. been getting into doing those recently :P

ANKETHIA x MAK'ARHU / A DOODLE ( both characters are women, she/her !! )

a little doodle dump of some art i've done of my yautja duo, ankethia and mak'arhu! i've been working on a spec story for them that i may or may not reveal more of later.

mak’arhu and ankethia hailed from rival clans trapped in conflict over territory. ankethia had abandoned her clan seeking a life of freedom and thrill, and mak’arhu swore to her family to hunt ankethia and bring her head to their enemies to put an end to this conflict once and for all and claim what was “rightfully” theirs.

of course, mak’arhu found more than just an enemy in ankethia. ankethia introduced her to a new way of life separate from the restrictive, controlling life within her family. the rest was history.
