Hello V! Can we please get headcanons of Anko realising she's in love?

♥ anko would probably freak out a little when she would first realize her feelings

♥ she would get shy and would avoid the person of affection like the plague after a few embarrassing meet ups

♥ kurenai would sagely convince her that she's acting like a child and that it's okay to have feelings for someone

♥ she would listen to kurenai and start coming out of her shell but would seem very sullen initially

♥ don't worry she's just shy and still trying to wrap her head around the situation

♥ when assured that the one she likes won't know just by looking at her, she calms down considerably and is able to go back to normal with them

♥ she becomes protective even though the other is capable of looking after themself

♥ although she has closed off a little, she will flirt subconsciously sometimes a LOT until she catches herself doing that

♥ unfortunately, it takes a kind of disaster for her to panic and realize 'fck it! life is too short i gotta let them know i love them!'

♥ after the problem's been dealt with and wounds are bandaged and healed, she will for the first time be honest about her feelings

♥ when her person of desire simply smiles, holds her hand and says "i know anko, i've known all along" she wants to punch and kiss them at the same time

♥ "well, do ya or d'ya not feel the same?" she asks, eyes averted and cheeks puffed even though she knows the answer already

♥ the arms wrap around her before the answer is whispered into her ear "of course i do, love"

Psst. Any headcanons on Anko friends turned lovers? How would she take it and would she be okay with it if it doesn't work out? Would they still be friends? (I feel like she'd figure all of this out before allowing anything to progress between them) S/o's gender doesn't matter, so use whichever you are more comfortable with.

Anko is really stubborn so she would probably keep her romantic feelings for her friend a secret, not wanting to effect the friendship that you both share already. She will make subtle hints and jokes about her feelings but would always wait for you to make the first move, not wanting to jeopardise anything.

Anko is rather perceptive though, so she would probably eventually notice that you reciprocated her feelings after a while and if she tired of waiting for you to make a move she would eventually step in.

If you told Anko that you liked her she would think you were joking or not being serious at first, threatening to hit you if you were lying. I feel like once both your feelings were revealed a relationship would develop over time, but Anko wouldn’t be the type of woman to kiss on a first date.

I feel like Anko would take a break up really badly. Especially if it was her s/o who broke up with her. It would be difficult for her to remain friends with the person or maintain a friendly relationship. She would constantly be thinking about their past relationship and it would probably be too painful to keep trying to be friends when she wants more.

Her s/o might even be nervous to break up with her in case she did something crazy, like throw a kunai at them or death ‘jokes’ or something along those lines.

If she was the one who broke up with her s/o I think she would try and mend the friendship, not wanting to make her s/o feel worse, and not wanting to end on bad terms. She would make the extra effort to ensure that her s/o is coping well, even if they might be incredibly hurt or may not want her to do so, but at the end of the day she’s very stubborn and will do what she thinks is best for herself first.
