Ok we know next to nothing about the new Anna save for her pfp but here we go, the Anna Clan is back baby!

Don't have a full name for her, but she's one of the youngest sisters.

Also, she's a little shit. Her older sisters love her but can't stand being near her for more than an hour. She loves trolling people. If she had social medias she'd made one of those "hip" accounts for her business.

She physically cannot stay still.

Slowly been dipping my feet on FE ROM hacking and I made this on this evening! It's a tiny chapter made editing FE8's Prologue, and hopefully a teaser to a bigger project I've had in mind for a little while about the Anna Clan (mainly one big chapter), but for now I'm excited I got a map to actually work! :D

You know who I haven't talked about for a really long time? The Annas!

I wanna talk about Annabelle (the playable Anna from Fates for the unintiated about this whole Anna Clan thing), since after all this time I finally got a good grip on who I want her to be!

Considering how many children Mother Anna and Jake have, some of them were bound to have middle child syndrome. Annabelle constantly compares herself to her sisters, feels the rest of the family barely notice her, and she's desperately trying to find her place in it.

This is why deep down she values her rivalry with Annalise (Awakening): while the two constantly bicker with each other, Annalise pushes her to improve in a way that the idealized versions of her sisters never could, even if it's out of spite. Also, well, she appreciates the attention.

Annalise loves to call her "Dumbbelle". She's still trying to figure out an embarassing nickname of her own as payback.

Ironically, while she feels she's not as good a merchant as her siblings, she's one of the sneakiest Annas, hence her default class being an Outlaw, wielding a bow and her Xenologue in Fates. Her main career is treasure hunting and permanently borrowing riches from bandits.

In general, Annabelle developed quite the snark, but she can be really sweet and grateful to those who appreciate her.

Also, the six fingers in her artwork were surely an art error, but who cares? She has twelve fingers now because I said so.

I was refreshing myself on Anna Clan lore, and noticed in the Mother Anna post that you said ALMOST all of the kids were girls, so are there mini Jakes?

Kind of! While there are a few boys in the family, all of them are trans! (Because let's be honest, given how many children there are it's obvious that a good bunch of them are queer, similarly there are some Annas who are nonbinary)

And a few of them do view their dad as their transition goal, even dying their hair and choosing a name similar to his. ...then there are some who just said "screw it" and look unlike any of their parents.

So I want to talk for a while about the Anna Clan and my headcanons, because lately I’ve been thinking about them a lot and am starting to make out a sort of timeline of the family, and I want to flesh them out beyond “basically Joy and Jenny from the Pokèmon anime but merchants”. To start with, one of the most important bits is that each Anna has actually a full name that they tend not to use unless other Annas enter the picture to keep a  trademark, kinda like chains in the real world.

Yes I know Fates states each Anna pronunces her name differently, but tbh that’s unbelievably stupid because you can pronounce such a short name only in few ways before it becomes redundant so I’m completely ignoring that

For example, the Anna you recruit in Awakening is actually named Annalise, while Fates!Anna’s full name is Annabelle.

The only exception to this is the og Anna from Shadow Dragon, since she’s the mother of the entire family and leader of the capitalistic nightmare of the Outrealms Anna Clan. And in general each Anna has her own personality and way they want to make a profit. The elder Annas tend to stick to Mother’s method of secret shops, while younger Annas are more freeform and show their face more often. And then there’s Heroes!Anna, which... we’ll get to that, trust me. For now, let’s just say she's the black sheep of the family.

I’m imagining a drunk Annamary going on a whole rant about how secret shops are a terrible idea and Alfonse, Sharena and the Summoner begging her to just go to bed "’Oh, we haven’t made significant profits for a long time and our clan is going bankrupt!’

Maybe it’s because we had like ten customers most in all of our shops in a lifetime and just because you got lucky with secret shops doesn’t mean they’ll work forever and for all of us daughters, M O T H E R”
