So I’ve seen this idea of: What if Odysseus spared/raised Astyanax? I thought up my own take on it. Odysseus takes the baby with him and he along with Penelope raises him with their other son Telemachus. Astyanax is happy with his family, until he learns more and more about his past as he grows older. By the time he’s 19 he finally knows the truth and as the gods prophesied: He becomes an avenger, just not in the way they thought. One day Astyanax goes missing, and his family and the Royal staff are searching for him, only for Telemachus to come with a note from him that’s basically: “Peace out losers I’m gonna go fuck up Eris.” Astyanax decides that day he was going to get revenge on Eris for kick starting the Trojan war. Obviously everyone is horrified and they’re thinking “Oh gods this kid is going to get his ass handed to him!” They search everywhere for him, and by the time they find him, Astyanax is beating the living shit out of Eris crying: “My family is dead! Many people’s lives have been lost and ruined, just because you had to throw that damn apple, you witch!” Meanwhile; Odysseus, Penelope and Telemachus are just wondering, “Do we do something or what?”
