A quick, disapproving puff of air shot from her raised nose with a pivot to the side. "Don't expect my help or sympathy the next time you happen to get into trouble. You'd understand why, if you were a little more human." The words fell from her mouth like glass, however already in shards before reaching the ground.

For some reason her last comment surprised him. He had had his share of humanity, that much was for certain. 

"Now, now, my dear," He said in a calming tone of voice, his words smooth and soft. "I don't need to be human to understand. You feel that I do no appreciate your help. And thus you are doing me a great injustice. I did appreciate it. But now I no longer require it. You ought not equate what I was like to what I am now. It is such a petty thing to do, I believe. But I understand why you do it." Amduscias smiled pleasantly. 

"I am a demon, after all."

"Willingness and capability have nothing to do with each other, I've realized. And wouldn't it be upsetting if the Grand Duke Amduscias were unable to tip his hat ever so slightly to those he owes it to?" she continued, her upset tone turning into a sly one. Not only did she prove to know who he is, but also managed to fluff up his feathers; giving an incentive (no matter how small) for doing what she wanted was a normal tactic she has resorted to time and time again. {{yo this is really late}}

"Not particularly, no." He tilted his head and stared at her with inhuman eyes, intrusive and unblinking. "It'd be, in fact, completely in character."

Amduscias sighed heavily. "I said thank you. I would say that counts as a tip to the hat."

Welp looking back I'm becoming more and more confused as to how I could have even developed a crush on her. She was very picky and she doesn't hang out with people who  have red hair and I just wow that is just so mean. She was pushy and forced things on people. Well now I'm just over it.  I hope she finds that person who will make her happy in life.
