Un uniforme ?

They gave him a uniform. This is when he should have said no, when they came to take his measures, or when they give it to him, or when they said that he should wear it. This is when he should have said put me back in that freezer, everything but a uniform. In a sense he tried to, but no puppy eyes could warm up Maria's judgmental stare and Hazel said that he won't have to wore it all the time, after all she doesn't, but that maybe, for now, he should do as told. Jean was not really good at doing as told, but when it  cames from a kind Princess...

So, for the very first time in his life he was wearing a uniform and it didn't feel good... at all. In France, only cops, soldiers or Mcdonald's employees wear uniforms, the idea was sending chills to his spine as he was walking through the corridors. He had to admit that it was well tailored, even if a little too skin tight for his taste, and it was a classy dark blue, but really  that it was a uniform and that was a problem.

A problem he suddenly forgot when he saw a familliar red head walking toward him. A problem he remembered very quickly when he saw that she was focusing on the papers she was reading and not noticing him at all, It was like he was a walking background furniture, damn uniforms !  Well, maybe the surprise in her eyes when she will notice him, here and in that outfit will worth it. He waited for her to be close enough to touch him. She stepped aside as to avoid bumping into him and he smiled.

I'm home

Phil had spent two days and one night out. He was exhausted in every way possible. He had called just once, then his phone died. Even when too many things had happened while he was at Daphné's apartment, he wouldn't show it. He went to SHIELD after leaving her apartment. He was looking for some time alone. He wanted to cool off after so much trouble he had got into. He took another shower and then drove back to his house where Anna and Michael were waiting for him. He tried to focus on how much he missed his family instead of all the damage he had done so far. He parked and got off the car. With a tired pace, he walked to the porch and  took out his keys not expecting Anna to open the door first.

With a smile from ear to ear he welcomed her in his arms. He didn't say a word, just enjoyed their first alone moment in days.
