Kára-Tak the Huntress

Tall-ass woman built to hunt down elks and boars, a beast when hunting, but she's a sweet lady.

Very gentle and calm demeanor with a great patience, but she can also be really stubborn and strong-willed.

She doesn't usually have any bad thoughts about others, unless they have pissed her off.

Bruno, being the sad starving one in the walls, forced to consume his friends (the rats.)

Alma, being fed only when absolutely necessary on a voluntary basis by the community as a tribute for the miracle. Hates it. It feels wrong. Pedro was the only one she wanted who gave not out of obligation, but love.

Pepa feeling guilty about feeding on Felix, but he comforts her with jokes. "Come on, amor, look at me, I'm sturdy as an ox, I can take it." (And he does, and he doesn't mind, he actually feels better afterwards (because he's got high blood pressure and doesn't know he's self medicating via his wife XD)

Julieta bargaining small sips as payment for healing rather than risk taking too much from anyone. Everyone assuming she takes too much from Agustin because he's clumsy but he's just Like That.

Isabela worrying she'll have to feed off Mariano if she marries him but his blood tastes like horse or something and makes her gag.

Dolores having to cover up the opposite side of that, where he smells irrisistable.

Luisa working herself too hard and having to be reminded to eat. Under-eating because she's worried she'll take too much due to her size. May occasionally take care of troublesome wild animals due to this. Feels super guilty about it once Antonio gets his gift.

Mirabel being like her dad and completely human because of course.

Camilo either playing into it like the ridiculous theater kid it is, or keeping in different shapes because he doesn't feel the hunger when he's other people

Antonio isn't old enough for the hunger to have struck yet, and no one knows if he'll get it or not.

bruno: YES oh my god hed feel so guilty and try to only take little sips 300 times (idk how many rats he has) aaaaaaaa its like cuddling them badly. he tries to be gentle OTL

alma: AH SO COOL alma being a vampire even before the miracle/encanto.... she found her true love, the one who understood ;_; would her instinct be to hunt and does she have to train herself not to after the miracle came to her and the guilt sank in.

Pepa and felix are so sexy as always and adfjlkdsaf;jdlksa;f self-medicating with vampirism. I imagine Julieta doesn't need much bc she gets a steady stream of hurt people every day, doesn't even need to pierce the skin when she puts her lips on the wounds because she stops as soon as her magic food has healed them. Everyone assuming she's always sucking agustin silly....

Isabela: I bark-laughed so hard. And Lola being drawn to Mariano... but their love is forbidden.... but hes hot and smells so tasty and she has to control herself for the sake of his life and/or her cousin's honor.... she is the classic romantic vampire 🥺

Luisa: LOVE. she gets fainting spells and still doesn't ask for help. Chasing down wild animals though.... really hot. I wonder if antonio gets sad because of it, if he's taking that 'vegan vampire' thing in the other direction where he'll never eat animals. humans are more ethical 😇

Mirabel: I love it. She escapes the curse, which makes Isa secretly jealous of her. Also she offers everyone her blood but her parents feel like that gets dicey and alma says she shouldn't do that either bc of temptations and all that, but mirabel just wants to help.....

Camilo: that'd be a hack, if transforming into a human would take away the bloodlust. what if he's fully convinced this is the case, so he tries to prove it to mirabel for an entire day but it goes completely south in the afternoon and he has to grovel at her feet and feed from her arm like the loser he is. "toldya it sounded like horseshit."

Now I do wonder how the towns people would offer up their blood to the grandkids, or how the kids would get blood at all if not offers.

Thought "who are you?" "Wait did i rb an ask meme?" and "I dont think i have a favorite word" but then realized its probably Discombobulation. Not for the meaning per se, just a good mouthfeel. Fav word in dutch is meneertje (little mister) bc i use it for my dog and baby nephew
