I’m doing my best to remove myself from this drama because I think you have a point and keep in mind Harley and Ivy ARE an on-off couple in lawful-verse and I’m starting to come back around to harlivy, in small part thanks to witchhazel, my oc ship with Ivy.  I’m not erasing the fact that it exists of forcing either pair into a het romance, because frankly I don’t think that’s necessary.  Woodrue doesn’t exist in my verse and I’ve been considering for a few days now about whether or not Ivy is actually bi in lawful-verse or not, because in the rogue kids verse I have, she isn’t, she’s a lesbian.  Sexuality in comics can often be fluid depending on the writer.  Recently, I would say Ivy is definitely a lesbian, but in the past, I’m not so sure that’s true.

As an added note, you can say the same for male characters having canon het romances because of homophobia, and yeah, you’d be right, but does that change the canon?  Not really.

Again, I’m not saying that Ivy HAS to be bi or that Woodrue always exists in every canon, I’m saying it’s something to remember when insisting everyone have the same headcanons as you have.

not coming from a place of aggression but there’s a disconnect between the two

There is, I won’t deny that, there definitely is a disconnect, and thank you for not being aggressive about it because this is part of a much larger drama that in a large part is based purely on people disagreeing on headcanons and people are straight-up being sent hate over this for no reason.
