Writer Friend Application

Throwback to me a year younger from now, sitting on a bed with a draft outline open, where I thought to myself, 

“I wish I had writer friends, or anyone with the similar interests, really.” 

I’ve realized, I could’ve already done that by now. So, here are some things about me that we might have in common, like a fun ice breaker you could use if you wanna reach out sometime :D

My top artist in my 2021 Spotify Wrapped is Clairo (3rd is mxmtoon, 5th is dodie) 

I am a huge huge fan of theories, anything that’s relatively not been confirmed is both my favorite and least favorite (because then I can’t stop thinking about it)

I’m not a big fan of horror but I can tolerate it if you consider occasional nightmares to be a tolerable reaction

Has seriously FBI-questionable Reddit and Quora history (because when do writers not)

Teen writer

Huge enjoyer of personality database, though I usually just read the discussions (I dislike 16p due to its accuracy as I take mbti more seriously for character consistency purposes)

I dabble in the art of musical theatre (solo concerts with pillow audience kinds)

Open to discussions about anything of interest

That’s pretty much all I have for now, feel free to checklist this for fun because honestly that sounds pretty fun but yup!

ˏˋFlash Fiction ⇢ ˗ˏˋAzure Gold ࿐ྂ

I have lived to see a million lives unfold. I once stood on grounds of lifted swords, then firing cannons, now blazing pistols, on ballrooms and royal promenades. I used to shine like the light of a full moon, serene, unbothered, but the years have tattered my graceful aura.

Many powerful people called me beautiful when I was still whole. I was the centerpiece of every wall they hung me on, and the star of every night sky they brought me out to see. I used to flutter in the wind and see if it carried me to the heavens, free from the greed of every living species on the ground.

From banners to gowns then lines wrapped around spools, I watched each piece be ripped away from me, one by one. They said it was a repurposing, something new for something as outdated as me, modernizing me with scissors and rulers.

I was cut down, inch by inch, my arms and legs unwoven into threads of azure gold. An heirloom stolen from its greedy owners, sold until I am worth nothing but a few copper coins and a sack of rice.

I used to be priceless, now I am worthless.

Everyone made sure of that.

✃ WIP Snippetˏˋ°•*⁀➷

The first he noticed was her eyes, dark brown earth seemingly ready to house a grave he may or may not have dug himself. Roman's shadow reaching out was proof enough; maybe he would fall into it willingly.

Introducing my character, Roman! A man of gentle smiles and kind words, who harbors knowledge that hide comfortably in the tint of his shadow.

I am proud to say I've reached over 10k words on this wip, which I've been planning and working on for 5 months now (aka why I've been so on and off here)

You'll be seeing a lot more of him and the mystery woman he describes above, as they'll be playing quite a big role in my novel *wink*
