CLOSED START FOR: @annelim LOCATION: sequoia park zoo, humboldt hills
Benji was typically fairly cool and collected on dates, but found himself filled with anxious anticipation as he met Annie at the Zoo for the adult after hours’ event. It was something he’d come to on occasion with Katie when he found a sitter for Connor, a way to enjoy some drinks, food trucks, and of course, exotic animals. Since it was one of his happy places, he’d never considered bringing a date there before. But since he’d asked Annie out, a part of him was excited to share the experience with her. Their little ice cream pre-date chaperoned with Connor had felt seamless. She was equal parts funny, cool and charming, and was totally enamored with Connor. To Benji, it was incredibly attractive.
Which was why he found himself carrying two Lagunitas IPAs back to the standing table he’d left Annie at along with half-demolished tacos. “Refill” He greeted as he held the other beer out with a chummy smile. “I was thinkin’ after this we could try the canopy walk. It’s supposed to be dope.”
