Where’s that interview clip where the interviewer (I think Annie Mac?) mentions miles and Alex goes 😳☝🏼 I need it for my health

Hello 💜 I think you’re probably referring to this three part interview.

Definitely worth watching all three parts as Annie is one of the interviewers Alex is most comfortable with (along with Zane Lowe and Jools Holland). But the clip starts at 1:52 in part three (below).

Poor Alex, you can see every emotion cross his face at that moment. Recognition, happiness, fear, panic, embarrassment, denial, discomfort, awkwardness. Like yes I want to talk about Miles as I do at every opportunity but oh no, I did do those things, but we don’t talk about 2016… It’s okay Alex, we’ve all been there! Just own up to being your free and happy self on stage with Miles 🥹 also the finger point and the swallow tells us everything… It would be so interesting to get his perspective on 2016 now, almost a decade later. Perhaps it’ll be something they discuss if we ever get TLSP3, or perhaps that’s a contributory factor to why we haven’t had a sniff of news on it. I have some theories ranging from likely to ridiculous purely for my own amusement!

Also special shout out to his trademark eye widening in horror (not that Alex needs to do anything to make his eyes look any bigger) 🐴 You can see it dawn on him second by second in his eyes that Annie was there, and remembered, and had actually asked him about it, and he’d have to formulate a response. Without Matt even being there to rescue him. Denial is a river in Africa Alex! But he still tried it. Seriously though I do feel bad for him as a fellow awkward person; there’s nothing worse than being reminded of something embarrassing, particularly when you know it’s being recorded and uploaded onto the internet forever.

Side note – Alex is extremely attractive in this interview but then again, when isn’t he? The long hair and beard really are something else.

As always, my rambling opinions are just that – opinions based on the little bit of himself Alex allows us to see (and the occasional part of him that may slip out accidentally or subconsciously!)

Carlos from Fontaines on Sidetracked this week! Holy shit

Carlos O'Connell joined Nick Grimshaw as a guest this week— they usually only have guests when one of the hosts is away (Annie on holiday), and Carlos was recently in that Lena Dunham film and of course, it really is a Fontaines summer this year. Anyway can't wait to listen to this.

Semi-Update: McKenzi Sager

There's so many updates at this point, but that's okay because I figured more info would come out after I posted and got people's eyes back on this party. So, what did I find today?

@summer-lovin-09 Lay helped me find out that the guy in these photos:

Was McKenzi Sager. But that was by comparing his face to recent photos on his Insta. Today, I woke up and decided to scroll back to the date of the party, something I hadn't really started checking until recently.

Not only was he 100% at the party (photo from that night with Nick and Aimee, photo from a few days later in the same outfit):

But he's definitely one of Nick's friends in his little group. Here he is with Nick, Miquita, Aimee, AND Annie Mac (who, afaik, was not at the party, but is one of Nick's usual accomplices)

These aren't all the posts I found, but I'm on mobile today so I have a 10 image limit. Blurred face is McKenzi's son, btw (and some kid in the background lmao).

Anyway, this update isn't new identification or anything, just additional info on a guy who was identified last-minute.

anniemacmanus: Yesterday felt like three days rolled into one. It began with an early morning pick up and drive to manchester for one of the first sets at @parklife_festival, where it was sweltering — then a mad dash to Ireland, and a police escort (!!!) to get us through the 10k traffic jam to Slane Castle in time for my set supporting Harry Styles. I’m not sure I’ve ever played to that many people? Harry was the most generous and welcoming host and to all of youse who danced in the rain with me thank you. I absolutely loved playing for you! Now to rest…
