Summary: Iruka, homeless and desperate, decides to rob a big fancy house to feed his three kids. Only, he fails spectacularly. Kakashi, the would be robbed, decides to let him go, thinking he'd never see him again. Except Iruka's guilt has him winding back up on Kakashi's doorstep with an apology and Kakashi thinks, maybe he could use Iruka's skills. The next thing he knows, he's inviting Iruka and his kids into his home, obtaining legal guardship to foster said children, rearranging his whole life for these kids, and coming to realize he likes having them around. Meanwhile Iruka, forced to bear the consequences of his criminal past, gets a new start on life thanks to one man's kindness while unknowingly falling in love.
