"So we all stole Shiro's car right?"

A particularly young looking version of himself raises his hand, "-I stole his hoverbike, actually."

An older version of himself cocks his head in confusion, "-Shiro doesn't even own a car. He's like, eighteen."

"Shiro?" A version of himself who is sporting some nasty looking purple lichtenberg scars asks. "You mean like, Adam's fiancee? I've never even met him."

Another version of himself, one wearing actual armor, just looks deeply confused. "What's a car?"

"Ditto," says another version of himself with bronze-colored eyes and a dusty cloak, "-what's a car."

"I helped steal a ship to break him out of Central Command," a version of himself in druid robes replies, "-does that count?"

Keith hums. Okay. So there's outliers, definitely. But most of the other versions of himself gathered in this strange place had most definitely raised their hands.

"So basically what you're saying is," and a way more Galra version of himself wearing the armor of one of Lotor's generals says this, "-maybe like 90% of us have at some point, stolen a vehicle belonging to Shiro."

"I never stole his car, but I did try to kill him," a version of himself who would otherwise look normal if not for the scar on his cheek that he hadn't gotten in his own universe until years later said, "-that counts for something, right?"

Two different versions of himself, one more Galra looking and clad in Blade armor, and the other more human dressed in orange and blue ask in tandem, "Wait, you tried to kill him!?"

"Yeah, sorry," a version of himself that looks more like a chimera raises a hand, "-I tried to kill him too. In my defense, I was fucked up on quintessence."

"Oh, ditto on the brainwashing," replies another version of himself wearing Blade armor, but looking more human than some of the others, "-also I was possessed at the time too?"

"...are you guys like, okay?" A version of himself that resembles Lotor a little too closely for anyone's comfort asks.

A lot of the other versions of himself simply reply no.

"Cool," Keith said, "-glad to know we're all kind of deeply fucked up."

So if you put the AU Keith’s in an order of how Galra they look. What would they look? Who is the most and least Galra

Good question!

I think we all know that who you are in the dark Keith would be the front runner for looking most Galra. He's followed shortly after by abyss of memory Keith, galra prince Keith, burgundy Keith, and runaway paladin Keith. Then you've got desert born and MFE paladin AU Keith, and they're followed all of the 'mostly human but still visibly a little more Galra Keiths like anomalous point and flicker. Then lastly you've got your canon appearance Keiths, like the supernatural AU and the amnesiac blade AU.

(space human Keith, parallel reverse Keith and reality scramble Keith are outliers that will not be counted.)

(quintessence poisoning and ignis Keith have their own brand of fucked up going on as well.)

a fun thing about anomalous point that I've never really talked about, and didn't get discussed much in the fic was the fact that Heath was literally an alien living in hiding on Daibazaal. Like, the Blade was trying to conceal all knowledge of Earth's existence, so not only was Keith always hiding his face outside of their base, but so was Heath. They gave him some Blade armor and passed him off as one of them, and nobody even batted an eye.

Top 5/10 of your AU's where inserting Akira into the mix would have amusing results

Okay, let me think about this one for a hot minute...

burgundy. Mostly because the idea of like. Them getting to the Blade of Marmora base. Learning that Keith is a Blade and is Galra, sure, sure that's a lot to take in. But then it turns out Keith has had an entire identical twin this whole time that he never mentioned even once.

anomalous point. for the same reasons. They're both sent to Earth. They both takes shifts at being 'Keith' at the Garrison, changing every month or so someone is always back at the Castle to guard Allura and the black lion. So not only do Shiro, Matt, and Katie deal with the revelation that Keith is a half-alien who was raised in deep space, but also he's been two people this entire time.

earthbound krolia AU because it's another AU where they would get to grow up together. They enroll in the Garrison together. They literally don't notice they have any competition because they're too busy competing with each other.

the Shiro Krolia bodyswap AU. Shiro in Krolia's body learning that the alien he swapped bodies with has a son... who looks. completely identical to Keith. Hey. what the fuck.

atla AU purely just for a short lived running gag when the three groups meet each other and Keith and Akira unintentionally cause a misunderstanding bc they're never in the same room at the same time so Pidge, Shiro, Coran, Lance, and Allura only think there's one of them. They realize this and decide to see how long they can stretch the joke. Hunk knows he should stop this but also... it's kind of funny.

at over 200,000 words, anomalous point turned out to be such a behemoth of a fic. it got away from me in a few places that are obvious on a reread, and the nature of the fic meant that some of the main cast couldn't shine as much as they did in canon, but it was a great ride nonetheless! it's so wild that it's finally done now. 37 chapters! holy shit!

thinking about them... Keith's character for Monsters & Mana in my various AUs. burgundy Keith looking over the character creation screen with intense scrutiny, before someone makes an offhand suggestion he play a human character, only for him to respond with "no I've done that already". which. yeah. he technically has.

Akira and Kethe exchanging a look with each other and realizing that they have the set-up to do something really funny here. Meeting Coran's eyes across the table. He senses the spirit of the joke and gives them both a thumbs up.

Werecat Keith who does actually play a human character, and eventually ends up roping all of the MFE pilots into the game too. They all also play human characters, except for James. The paladins all realizing that they have actually a deeply weird impression of humans for a race that's lived alongside them for centuries.

Anomalous Point Keith who has an ongoing campaign with Romelle and Allura already, that Pidge and Matt forcefully invite themselves too.

runaway paladin au Keith who decides he's playing a shapeshifter even though he's already a shapeshifter and driving everyone nuts. his character's not even a thief but they still cannot stop him from doing crime.

Waving goodbye to the two cadets, Shiro drew in and let out a deep breath before heading out onto stage. Cameras began to flash as soon as he came out, but somehow for all his nerves, he found himself automatically slipping back into old routines from before Kerberos. Smiling at the cameras, he waved at the audience briefly before going to meet Iverson. He could see the Holts out of the corner of his eye among the audience, and- -and he nearly froze in his tracks.
