Denver Based Steampunk Convention Anomaly Con Calls it Quits
Here I was thinking I just had to finish this one load of laundry and I'd be ready for Anomaly Con. And I just remembered 4 other things I have to do (including glue ribbon onto my hat and picking up my prescription from the pharmacy). So, long night ahead
Conventions
How often do you go to conventions and what kinds do you prefer? I don't get to go very often, since my work schedule includes Saturday mornings. It's hard to go to a Friday at a con, since they start so late, and be able to go to work Saturday morning. Mostly I go to hang out. Taking time off work to attend or stay (or both on the very rare cases) means making sure I have enough of a cushion in my bank account that I don't feel guilty about going. I have a couple conventions that I usually frequent, or plan on going to more often now. Nan Desu Kan, Colorado's premier anime convention, was my first ever, and I've gone all except one year since 2005. Starfest became a favorite after finding a more mature crowd at it, and it encompassed a little more of the genres I prefer. And Anomaly Con, Denver's first steampunk convention. Though it's been around a few years now, I haven't been able to attend until this year. But I very much enjoyed myself and plan on continuing to attend. This weekend is a convention here in Denver! Actually several, it sounds like. However, I'll be attending one specifically. Who will be stopping by Mile Hi Con to come say hi to me?!
Who's at Anomaly Con this year? Just hanging out, waiting for the opening ceremony to start
It's December 27th. That means Anomaly Con is in exactly 3 months. I have to start getting costume shit together.
Finally got my video on Anomaly Con 2015 done!! Only took about four months, but who’s counting. Lots of dancing in this one so I hope you all enjoy!
Love your necklace. Where did you get it?
@lestatmalfoy
I bought it at anomaly con in Denver this spring. Unfortunately, I can’t find the name of the jeweler I bought it from. I’m going to do a little more digging and I’ll let you know if I figure it out. I’m sure they have an online store.
