I hope you're ready to choose a lot of violence.

4. what was the last straw that made you finally block that annoying person?
So it wasn’t blocking as much as deleting my whole blog/ao3 and making a new one to create distance, but continuous trauma dumping despite requests to stop and end-of-the-world level dramatics over simple things is exhausting. I’m not a therapist and I’m certainly not a push-to-talk machine. And I’m not willing to entertain people who can’t and won’t understand nuance, or those who are cruel to others for the thrill of it.
7. What character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how how the fandom acts about them?
Meng Yao. Man sucks and I don’t care how shitty his childhood was.
8. Common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about?
Robert was SA’d by Rebecca. Also, he didn’t murder Katie. It was an accident.
Also, marital rape is coercion or force to engage in sexual acts by a spouse. It is not two characters having sex except you hate one of them so you have to justify your hatred by drawing comparisons between a character’s spouse and their rapist father.
11. Number of fandom-related words you've filtered:
None because I don’t know how.
12. The unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them:
Jiang Cheng because he’s my sweetie pea. My baby boy. My bunny rabbit. ‘He strangled Wei Wuxian’ Dude was having the worst day of his already shitty life bar none. He’s allowed a terrible crash out. ‘He murdered all those cultivators’ whatever. Skill issue. ‘He’s mean’ and it’s sexy. Next question.
Okay but actually if any moment should change an opinion on JC it should be in the demon cave when they’re all being ambushed and Wei Wuxian makes himself a target with the tiger amulet. Despite everything we’ve seen from him throughout the series, his hatred and murder of demonic cultivators, despite his grief for Jiang Yanli, despite his rage and never ending torment over Wei Wuxian, his fear and anger and loneliness, the very moment Wei Wuxian is in danger of being killed by someone not him, JC stays. He stays and he turns to his nephew that he raised and loves more than anything in the entire world, his everything, arguably his truest love and greatest treasure, and tells him if you leave now you are no longer my nephew.
Everything that JC is and was is because of his relationship with his brother. Even in a negative aspect he’s been living the last 13 years of his life not for himself, but because of his failure to save his siblings. Jin Ling himself is a walking, breathing reminder of that failure. JC has never, for 13 years, just like Lan Wangji, stopped thinking of Wei Wuxian. He tried to the best of his ability to save him the first time around until he couldn’t, until his anger got the best of him— and when Wei Wuxian goes all self sacrifice again, JC stays. He stays and he shows Jin Ling that this is where the line is drawn for family that you love despite it all.
17. There should be more of this type of fic/art:
Sad endings/unresolved endings. Endings where even if the fic ends with a kiss and babies or whatever, there’s still that lingering knowledge that this will end badly for them.
22. Your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores:
‘Ignores’ ‘forgets’ whatever. AARON WAS TOTALLY INTO THE 2014/5 AFFAIR AND IS AN ADULT WHO CAN MAKE HIS OWN CHOICES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HE THOUGHT IT WAS HOT THAT ROBERT WAS CHOOSING HIM OVER HIS OWN FIANCÉE!!!!! HE FULLY KNEW WHAT HE WAS GETTING INTO
SHES NOT YOUR WIFE YET IS SHE
24. Topic that brings up the most rancid discourse:
People love those gay angels made by ne/il gai/man and are fine enjoying them while their creator is an irl rapist but whatever. Just because you only acknowledge one creator doesn’t mean the other guy magically doesn’t exist and that his footprints aren’t all over the media you enjoy.
