Watch out who you follow, y'all.

It might end up being some batshit rando from years ago who's been clutching a hot coal.

According to this person, I followed an account of theirs and I guess back in 2017 we had some beef.

I didn't recognize this person at all but they apparently knew me. So they made a whole ass tumblr account for the sole purpose of threatening me and telling me to not follow them.

Like damn, babes. All you had to do was block and move on.

I literally have no idea who this person is. They refuse to tell me and just keep accusing me of shit and threatening me.

So that's fun /s

They're blocked though. Idk how I'm supposed to avoid them if idk who the hell they even are but whatever. They've been told to not ever contact me or my friends ever again. We'll see how that goes.

What would it take to get @staff to notice that anonymous harassment is a problem and that blocking an IP address or disabling anonymous asks are not solutions.

Also, if you're thinking that "reporting" is an option, it's not. What you get is a form letter detailing how to block the anonymous ask but warning that the person could still send more asks using a different IP address. Even if what you reported was a violent threat.

It's absolutely ridiculous that Tumblr doesn't take this seriously. That people who have faced months of harassment by the same person or people using different IP addresses just have to suffer or cut off all anons.

Even if this doesn't affect you, please help me ask @staff to do better.

It’s not to repost, it’s too reblog. Not crediting is the same as stealing and just cause there are other people who do it doesn’t mean you should. Can’t find credit? Don’t repost it.

I just discovered that you can report asks... I don’t know how much good it will do for anonymous asks, but I guess its nice to know I can block the IP..
